I've got to say that I thought you were just a guy that liked lakes. The editing is epic, the shots you've kept in and for the duration you've kept them in for are perfect. It feels like I'm camping with you. Then there's the music and journey. It's absurd how you can make a relaxed camping vid be so entertaining. I'm currently binge watching all vids.

Just taking a break from editing, to watch your latest adventure. We both thought it was mighty impressive just making it to your trip. I think I would have turned around and started the trip a day later. So much work winter camping. Quite a contrast between the Yukon river footage we're working through currently, where it's 30 degrees with thick forest fire smoke at times, to your -20 on frozen Northern Ontario lakes. Great trip and edit. Appreciate all the hard work that goes into these trips. Thanks for the break.

Been years since I've heard that ice settling sound and I live on a lake! Extremely cold (for me) today with a hgh of 7F but a low of 0F this evening. Worry since my sons are ice fishing guys and one went out on the lake yesterday. Sketchy weather with lots of rain and then snow piled on top. Was very heavy shoveling yesterday. Thank goodness for my neighbor and his machine to finish up the driveway. Today will need to travel to the grocery store. So mundane compared to your adventures. Love the video and the glorious cliffs you showed us. And that bird trying its best to eat the seeds. Nice shooting. Thank you.

Just discovered your channel recently and am really enjoying it! When I was just 18 a friend and I took a three month long canoe trip. We started in October so also had a heated tent with a wood stove like yours. Ours was an 8’x8’ canvas wedge tent that we could just barely stand up in. It was a great adventure for sure that changed our lives! We were inspired by the great north woods outdoor writer Calvin Rutstrum. I hope you have read his work as you remind me of him! Anyway, I’ll keep watching and occasionally comment. Keep at it and be safe!

The quality of the video is superb. What ever you are using to capture it, don't change a thing. Being in the woods by yourself is a wonderful experience. It's kind of nice to go out and see the tracks and see what might be in the area, especially when there is no one else around. For torn sleeping bags I started by stitching the tears but switched to tenacious tape. It holds and is easy to apply. Thanks for the video, it was a pleasure to watch.
