That snake was a Philippine pit viper. Green morphs of the species are common Palawan. And yes, they're venomous. But like other Southeast Asian pit vipers, their bites can have severe symptoms but are rarely lethal (though they can be).

Dude, I'm really glad to see El Nido hasn't changed much. I went back in 2014 and through a lot of research, found El Nido. It was so far above anything I could have expected, a true gem. Nacpan beach, or as it's also called: Twin Beach, was really just surreal. They weren't renting out lawn chairs when I was there, but I feared it would be worse. Thanks for the update amigo!

Been traveling for 3 months in SE-Asia, wandering around mostly planless and just taking everyday as it comes.
