sounds slightly different at times to the one I've heard usually the beginning says something different, some melodies are slightly different and the end is different too aha, love this song!

Thefakesoundofprogress is still one of my favourite albums and I have to admit that "Start Something" wasn't as bad as many make it to be. However, everything released after their second album has been utter fudge so far and it's nearly impossible to listen to any of their current stuff.

i swear the sample at the begninng said 'if you wanna be a superstar you gotta check out the' or something like that. not 'i suppose you wanna play some games'.. on the album i bought when it came out thats how it goes... ?

That's because they weren't that known before. The voice in that version says "If you're gonna be a superstar, you're gonna have to check out the stars" and this version says "I suppose you have some games, I'd bet you'd love to play them".

It's off the first release of their 1st album before it got re-released soon after... The 2nd release was too over produced imo...they sold out quicker then any other band i've seen! I shook hands with these guys and got them to sign my LP tshirt at an early gig...too bad it's all faded now and barely readable through being washed over time...never expected them to get as big as they did! Go look or rest of the songs from the "1st release" album if you like this!
