Gold Prospecting In Gwinnett County Georgia - Lost River Gold - Nice Cleanup Good Gold

Hi, from a Gwinnett County native (I now live outside the county, by a few miles). I have panned small amounts of gold from a few creeks west of the "Gainesville Ridges", aka the Brevard Fault Zone.

I was just out in Colorado, Love it there, I love digging gold and gems too, plenty here on the east coast, just have to dig a little deeper. These mountains are much older than the Rockies, thus they have buried their treasures a bit deeper.

Is the slit on the banks of the chattahoochee river good to pan?

Very nice! I’d heard the Georgia gold belt came as far south as north Gwinnett, but never seen anyone successfully pan for it.

The gold was very good for the small amount of material moved, super easy digging too. With a dredge.. ya could make some good money right there ⚡

Hey man I'm working an area where there is gray clay then blue clay and the bed rock is a blueish color and there is gold but I'm having a hard time finding it on the bedrock any ideas I'm in the charlotte area

I was born in Atl moved to far N.E. Ga. 17 years ago. LDMA and GPAA member...mining guide says all tributaries to Lake Lanier hold gold...you are working a creek near P'tree corners?
