Morning David, putting the goats in the open field might be an easy target for predators. Also it’s so very hot they need to have some shade. I can hardly believe that it is almost time for Addie to get back to Florida 😢. I know she has had the time of her life. Her first plane ride, reuniting with her best friend Serenity, & the SLR,CRC kids. Here’s a suggestion before she goes home. You should take her on a spa day. Take her school clothes shopping, get her a manicure & haircut/ trim.Dinner out all dressed up. Buy her flowers tell her this is the way a man treats a lady.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ I hate to see her go but she needs her Mom & Sister. You said she misses her cat so there’s that .Be safe working today until next time❤.

I'd love to see her all dressed up, hair cut and fixed, mani pedi. Addy is so pretty, can't imagine if she was all decked out@ Addy might have something to say about that though, she might rather be playing outside with all the kids. I can't believe she is about to leave. Time flys!! The kids have had a blast at any rate. David is a great grandpa!❤❤❤😂😮😮😢😮

Our goats tend to stay in our woods all day and don't really like the open field. They are browsers and like mostly brush to eat. Our woods is cleaning up nicely letting them clear it. They always come back at around 6pm for fresh water some grain treat and hay for the night. All of our animals get locked up at night for their protection and it trains them to always come home!

Hey Dommy. If it were me, I would just open up the fence for the goats of the morning and let them free range and then lock them back up at night. That would save you big time on the feed bill.The goats would always go back to their pen at night.

The field is a great idea for the goats. It's going to be a pain moving their shelter, but worth it. Also sad it's almost time for your granddaughter to go back home.

I read a story about a goat herder who rented his goats out to an overgrown cemetery to clean it up. He fenced in the abandoned cemetery and turned the goats loose. Within a week that cemetery was spick and span and ready for regular maintenance. This would work for any type of overgrown area. Doing a good service, free feeding of your goats and making a little money, it sounds like a win - win to me!

The value to the renter of having their land cleared depends on the size of the area to be cleared, the terrain and the cost in time and work to clear it themselves or hire it to be done. On large areas, it can be done in sections until the job is complete. The cost to manually clear an overgrown area could very high,but your goats would do it with minimal time and energy. This would be a great and economical service for many enterprises. You could still supply the goats with grain, hay and water to keep them properly nourished but the ease of their clearing overgrown areas would be great. When it is this hot, you should provide some shade so the goats can get out of the sun, but the value of not having humans working in this heat would be immense.

I think the goats need to be fenced in near the house, especially in the heat they need shade. It might be easier for the goat keepers too while you are gone. W=I know school starts in Aug in Fl. Take Addie school shopping, hair things, sweet clothes, new shoes. The whole thing. What a special time you will have.

I don't know a lot about goats but I would be a little worried about them being in the direct sun down by the power lines. And I don't think eclipse would like it at all. They are doing a great job parking out for you. And I feel like they are safer closer to the cabin. I feel like all y'all animals need geo trackers😂

ROX LOST HER DOG WHILE IN MISSISIPPI AND THEY HAD TO LEAVE. FRIENDS AND NEIGHBORS FOUND HER 2-3 DAYS LATER, SHE IS RECUPERATING AT FRIENDS WHO ARE 6 HR DRIVE AWAY. WHEN SHE IS WELL ENOUGH FOR THE TRIP THEY WILL GO GET HER AND BRING HER HOME.

You need to start fencing off your property line half of the property you can just let the goats run that way you got two jobs done the property is fenced off and the goats don't have to be moved all the time I know it sounds like a lot of work but I did it that way and it save me a lot of work
