Well met, brother! I subbed and I agree 100% as a Merrymaker who has been playing this game off and on for almost 20 years. I was never hardcore. There are several expansions I haven't even whiffed yet. I've never felt hurried in this game. I've just been living there. Last month I brought my son in and were on Angmar Legendary. I'm starting over with a class I never rolled before. My son is seeing it with fresh eyes...it's glorious, and just in time for a long, and cold Winter where I live!

I've been playing computer games since the 80's and this game stands out from all the games I've ever played. I started with the Commodore 64 and later building pc gaming rigs that ran on DOS. Today we have hardware that pretty much lets us do anything artistically to allow that immersion that we love. The key now to any game now is that games are made by people who love what they are making and not on just making obscene amounts of money. I'm glad LOTR is one of those games were the people who are running it love it. Thanks for the video.

I've been playing LOTRO for over 9 years. Went on to play other games but always kept coming back to LOTRO. I'm grounded here now. I have no desire to play anything else. They have done and are still doing an awesome job, upgrading, adding expansions and quests, increasing levels, improving the character creation, adding classes and much more. It doesn't matter to me how old the game is. It runs good on my MSI, Windows 11 laptop and the graphics are good and clear. What matters most to me is the gameplay. I thoroughly enjoy playing it. I don't have to worry about running or flying through it super fast, and fighting super fast all the time. I can relax with it and play and explore at my own pace. There's so much to do in LOTRO and it's a huge world. I love it and don't mind at all paying for VIP. It's worth it. There are some good benefits that come along with VIP, such as the mailbox, the ability to sell unneeded things from your inventory with an automatic store, access to the auction hall, no matter where you are, access to your storage vault and the shared storage vault, and access to the legendary forge when you get your legendary weapons. I totally agree.....it feels like home to me too.

I’ve been playing on Angmar the past few weeks. LOTRO is a very atmospheric, slow paced game that draws you in. You can do relaxing quests in the hobbit areas or more combat heavy quests in other areas. There is no pressure to rush to end game which is so nice after years of Classic WoW. I’ve been enjoying it.

LOTRO is still one of the better MMO's out there and I'm not a huge fan of the movies. When it was announced that two new servers were coming with updated 64 bit, I was still hesitant. The lag is what got me to quit a couple of years ago, that was the only reason. Rolled the dice, got the VIP and started playing on Angmar, don't regret it. The lag isn't completely gone, but compared to the older servers, it's night and day. They keep this up, they have a customer for a long time. As for the graphics, sure it's somewhat dated, but I also grew up with 80's and 90's video games with SWG being my first MMO in the 2000's, the graphics are nowhere near a deal breaker for me, it's the world, classes, everything that has been created is what pulls me in. Good video.

I've played Lotro for 16 years. It is not a "game," but instead you are living another life in Middle-earth. Modern MMOs have lost this as they are nothing but secluded zones where you just go from one quest to another. With them you have no reason to live in the world. You are just there to play a game.

For all NEW players The game is not limited to lvl 90 for F2P any one can go up to max lvl with free account , even if you dont buy anything else in game. ALOT of insta lnces, Skirmish, events , Missions , epic Battles, will be scalable to any Level. The expancions are all unlocked till lvl 90 but Epic story quests go all the way to max lvl even if you pass in areas thst dont give you side quests. Crafting works the same. If you have level of crafting to gather a certain location wood or mining or scholar you can go to areas you dont have unlocked and kill mobs and get crafting items to use or sell. So nothing stops you from reaching max lvl, craft you gear, weapond. Use game Currencies to gear up. And LoTRo Points will build up as you play the game. So just use it in stuff thst makes diference for account. After you unlock any expancion is permanantly unlocked! :) I play this game for mabe 6 years and have 3 Max Lvl charecters and other lower ones and i just payed for VIP 1 month. Shure the game needs income, but it also needs player base to live on. Even F2P contribute to the populatio and can craft buy and sell stuff in game and be part of Raids and other Group content. LOTRO store every week has diferent sales items. So use your points in items when they are on Sales. Good luck and have fun🎉 I

After seeing your vids I just started on Mordor eu, very good first impressions, not sure why I’ve never tried it before as I love Tolkien and love MMOs, probably mainly due to playing wow as my favourite MMO but I recently tried it again on classic bit put it down due to getting burnt out the wow treadmill, ive tried eso, ff14 and they are good but never held me, I recently tried GW2 which I also really like, but lotro seems like something I can enjoy at my own pace, enjoy the world, lore and chill, it’s also making me want to re-read the books again!

I came from WoW to lotro and I instantly felt like I am home. In WoW the community is toxic. No do no dps you get kicked. You don’t have that stupid pre BIS min max gear ? Oh I am sorry than you can’t go to the Mythic dungeon you need. In lotro everything is so calm and nice. I am in a guild and they helped me set up my Hobbit gardien. They answered all my questions. The world feels so real to me and someone told me that the hole world is hand made. Is it right ? If it is, it is mind blowing. I’m really glade to have lotro a chance.

FFxIV is the best technically, nearly flawless without bugs. WoW was great until they abandoned the casual players that made them rich. LOTRO is the most homey, with the best lore and community though XIV does have a good one. Wow is toxic at times and without a good guild not much fun. LOTRO is the best to live in and put your spare time into for an enjoyable and dependable experience. All in all LOTRO is the best and one day perhaps the lag situation will be repaired but I just played quite a few hours in Umbar without problem.

I feel like it's important to mention these serious problems with the game. (edited for phrasing) This is why new players don't last more than a month.. game performance is complete trash.
