Was there in Shoreham Sunday. Light setup fishing mackeral. Great fun. Kept only 6 big ones and had them on the bbq with family

You could of been greedy but instead you just took the mackerel you needed to see you through the winter so well done for catching them and also doing your bit to preserve the fish stocks. Great to see you back out on the beech.

Cheers, it's so easy to get carried away and you see so many photos of people with hundreds of mackerel just left to bake in the sun which isn't right. Hopefully be back out again soon.

Thanks mate. Yeah great fun when fishing light for them but can be easy to get carried away. Should be a good week for mackerel especially as the tide is getting later each day

first one for a while mate, nice to see you at it again, I was toying with the idea of coming to Shoreham this weekend, any advice on marks or is it all much the same?

Cool should be a nice weekend for fishing. If you are after mackerel they tend to be nearer to the west arm in slightly deeper water but you will find them along the whole beach. I was a bit further west last night a found few. Fair few bream still being caught with worm and squid combo baits. Chance of some golden grey mullet to if you can get some red rag, and there should be a few plaice to. Weed wise there's a fair bit of the long stringy stuff but it's still fishable. Good luck 👍
