Not gonna lie, Lin ate and left no crumbs as Hermes, i just know he's gonna break our hearts. And don't worry too much about the pace of the episodes, just remember that things really start with season 2, and even in the last episodes of season 1

I’m really enjoying this show but I do agree it’s moving too fast. The episodes could’ve been longer (even just 10 minutes longer) to not feel like everything’s rushed. In the book there are storms happening because Zeus is mad so you do feel like things aren’t going well. I’m not sure why they didn’t add that in the show.

it’s only the first season, im hoping it gets renewed and disney gives them a bigger budget and longer episodes. i love it now, but it could be even better if disney doesn’t screw this up.

@@yugen8195 I love it now too but I read the books and get hyped when I see stuff from the books. I’ve heard from several people who’ve never read the books that it feels too fast, with no sense of urgency, which I also understand. I need Disney to renew ASAP and make these longer next season. At the very least 40 minutes EACH episode.

@@yanelisdelgado3386 yea ive also read the books and im also planning on rereading them soon to refresh my memory of them. i agree about the episodes being too short cuz they have to squeeze so much in each ep which makes it feel rushed. i heard the next episode and finale are gonna be 40 minutes tho, so it’s not like it isn’t possible to make it longer, Disney would just have to give in. if the show does well in the end then im positive they’ll renew and give them more to work with. i think they were just testing the waters for the first season.

I feel like the first season is going to be the weakest of the whole show (I'm really hoping for a renewall because it gets really good) It's a great introduction, but they definitely made some beginner's mistakes

I want the episodes to be longer but when you are on a time sensitive cross country journey you don't have time to linger in locations to sight see.

This episode was a big hype for lots of people who had seen the films, because the Lotus casino was a big part of the films that had been handled a little better, one of the things about the show is that I don't think they give each scene or each location enough room to breathe, they needed an extra five or 10 minutes, also I'm with you on the darker scenes, they definitely need to be brighter so that you can see what's going on, one of the things they didn't mention in this , that was actually handled bitter in the movie was how dangerous the Lotus casino actually is, because not only this time move much faster there, but you also don't age in both the book and the film they showed this with a kid they met playing an arcade game, who had been there since 1970 something and still hadn't aged in present day, so that would've been good to see in the show as well hyping up the steaks to show how dangerous the Lotus casino actually was and how much time was passing, in both the movie and the book as well they did a good job of showing time passing by having Grover get his nails done like a pedicure or something as well as just them having fun before they realise how much time had actually passed, I think this would've been good to show in this episode as well make it clear how dangerous this place was and although the stuff with Hermes wasn't in the book, if they wanted to edit it into the show they still should've spent more time showing the characters having fun before he showed up to make it clear what this place was actually like as I felt like it was quite rushed, with this show they just need to flush things out a little bit more, by adding in another extra five or 10 minutes to flash out certain scenes, that way they can still add in bits from the book but then also other things they want to add in like Hermes and have it all make sense and not skip anything or miss out on stuff, obviously they can't add everything into every episode, but just allowing it a little extra breathing room I think would've really helped especially with this episode and with the first two as well as the first two episodes felt more like they were telling instead of showing which isn't really great for a movie or TV show, you really want to show rather than tell and I think if we've had a little bit more breathing room with every episode especially the first two then it wouldn't have felt so rushed and confusing, obviously they are on the road and so they're gonna be moving quickly from place to place, but I still think an extra 10 minutes would've helped with the overall pacing of this show, I think to keep things consistent as well they should've had each episode be the same length or a similar length even if they had to add bits in to make the episodes slightly longer I think just one more scene in the Lotus casino to make it clear that people don't age would've been important, as it's a little confusing when watching it when you see so many old people in there unless they've changed it to wear you can age but they didn't really make that clear in the episode so if we had a little bit more time I think that would've helped clear things up than that it was a pretty good episode was still interesting to watch.

I think it's interesting that everyone says that everything feels so rushed in the episodes. I feel the exact opesite... I feel it's so slow and there never is a feeling of urgency... Also the movie handled the Lotusscene way better in my opinion. They had fun there... here they just walked around a bit, had a talk with Hermes and that was it... Anyway great reaction!
