Such a coincidence, I went to check out the Lotus dealership on the morning of the 14th, right before you took delivery of your Exige. Saw it before Chris covered it with the British flag. I ended up purchasing the BRG Elise on the Monday after.

That's awesome, I hope you are enjoying yours, they are amazing machines. I've done 800km in 2 weeks already ha

@@LueysGarage I'm guessing that you're glad to be almost done with the engine break-in period. I just took delivery of mine last Saturday, so I'm only sitting at 40km on the odo at the moment. Will definitely take it out more once this rainy week is over.

Nice one! Congrats on the new car and looking forward to your DIY mods :) I have a 390FE too in racing green across the Tasman. A much more fun car to track even compared to a 991.2 GT3 but quite a bit slower down the straight although it always felt quicker...LOL

Nice, my friend has one in heritage green, yes they are brilliant fun to drive and with a few mods might give the GT3 a run for its money 😉

@@LueysGarage yeah definitely. My car is near stock with exception of AR1, LSD and a modified steering arm to get more negative camber. My car only looses out to the GT3's down the straight atm. I reckon another 50-60hp and 10-15nm torque should be enuf to keep up down the straights.

@@VHILW wow you put an LSD in already? How much did that cost? Do you think its worthwhile? I heard its best to also change the final drive ratios at the same time since the stock gearbox isn't really geared well
@VHILW2 жыл бұрын
@@LueysGarage The question around is it worth it really depends on ur application and how much you will push your car to its limits. Also do you drive ur car with TC off or on. In my case, I bought the car to track it, I drive with TC off all the time and I am (still learning) trying to balance the car at its limits so I want consistency in the car’s behaviour. Also when you hit a bumpy section of road/ track thats the pt you wish LSD was in the car. I have no complaints about the gear ratio, a tad short but I like it because it is fun shifting anyways. Cost around AUD6k all inclusive (labour, oils, LSD). I think LSD alone was around AUD1.5k. I personally dun feel the need to change the final drive, better to put in better oil in the gearbox. The box doesnt like to me shifted fast, so good oil will help alleviate some of the issues.
