The original Venom was supposed to be a Viper powered lotus, John Hennessey tell's It in one video, but decided tô use the ls as a base bucause is simpler to work with. A v10 lotus always was my dream, God job.

Simply Amazing! I loved the Lotus Exige but I never got one! I did get a mint 2008 BMW M6 Convertible with only 19,000 miles on that amazing V10 S85, Formula 1,inspired engine. It almost has 30,000 on it now and I love it! I'd love to take your Exige out to see what it feels like with 2000lbs + less. It must snap your neck OFF, because mine snaps my neck BACK! Nice car guys!

I've often heard of Lotus elise's having mechanical issues, once you do any kind of engine swap. That said, I could see a v6 swap, but could only imagine how it will handle a v10 swap.

Yep longer and wider, most likley due to engine and transmission not having enough space and because 5.0L v10 on a small wheelbase is just a deathtrap specially for a track car

The car is registered with a curb weight of 1335 kg. Here in Sweden, 75 of those kilos is the ”driver weight”.

You ad 400 hp and add maybe 200 kg. I think this is a good deal. Furthermore the weight is added on the rear axle which ist good because it is the driven axle. So it's a Bit counter produktive but not much. The car should be much faster.

Probably because of the strict noise level restrictions on our tracks here in Sweden. He seems to track it a lot, so I would guess that’s the reason.

I'm confused as to where the rear differential is, the gearbox is mounted directly to the engine with half shafts connecting the trans to the wheels. Where does the diff go?

It's built into the gearbox.
