Iam a great fan of your recipes, great cooking with perfection ,I have tried your chocolate chiffon cake,it is always a hit in my family,my humble request can you post cake without eggs ,cause I'm a pure vegetarian rest of my family are non-vegetarian's . This is really easy to prepare and taste delicious. Thanks Michael for this recipe. The dough at minute 1:34 turned into barba papa cartoon figure 😁, fortunately it wasn't Barba bob, the one with full hair. (Michael saying: see I just made for you Barba papa, dear followers😉). By the way Michael you can go to your garden and with one hit towards the North, like Tiger Woods ,the golfer, send me a piece of this delicious pastry. I will catch it cause The Black Hole🕳🙃 in my garden will swallow it. Thank for watching my videos. Lard is pork fat. Tallow is cow fat. You can replace lard with or shortening, even with oil.

I think you can substitute with shortening ... Its a white butter from from vegetable source...

Viny Kwan, you can skip the egg yolk, and you can replace the lard with other shortening, even oil. Any flavourless oil will do. Bare in mind that the pastry taste better if you using lard.

You can replace it with vegetable oil. Any flavourless oil will do. Bare in mind your pastry dough will be softer if you use oil.
