You can tell these guys are putting A LOT of effort into this game. From the way they are editing their videos, the small character teasers every Monday ( i say small teasers because they are not really showcasing ALL of the characters moves, just the basic techniques.). To their marketing and simply how polished the character models are as well as animation. This game will raise the bar for anime video games.

I love how this game isn’t just all characters are a copy and paste of each other with different special moves and that’s it. The fact the majority of them play differently and have a different feel etc while being unique is great! It also looks like it’ll have some sort of skill/strategy involved.

The Systems Overview trailer got me so hyped man, because it helped me see how actually fun and skill-based the gameplay can be, not only each character is super unique, you gotta space your attacks, punish, know where the gaps are, position yourself correctly, etc. Basically, in many ways, like an actual fighting game. And yes, the TYBW as 1st DLC was announced there, we all got so hyped when we saw. Now lets think about which 5 chars from the newest season could make it, Im saying true Shikai Ichigo and Yhwach for sure

I love how they did Shunsui considering she goes into every fight basically saying he doesn't know how the fights going to go or how he's going to have to fight. So I like that he is somewhat gimmicky under the idea that he has this charge attack then he also has a pusher back move and then I'll follow up which makes a lot of sense considering in the anime the amount of time she just outright try sneaking people and catching them off guard just makes sense

@LotusAsakura I agree before the raise it was a low. Story seemed to be the focus in anime arena fighters and they weren't great. The exception was ninja storm and now Sparking zero were the fighting in game systems and graphics rather than story animations. Now they focus on gameplay graphics and gameplay systems, makeing it look and feel like the shows which I prefer.

The translations are completely whack so it’s not just you it’s been this way for all of them. Often they even make mistakes. Szayel’s is by far the most incomprehensible. I’m super looking forward to this game. Only thing I’m scared about is it not being as good as it could be. Which would be a massive shame cause it’s not a cursed clash thing where they don’t care. They really tried and got so far. But if the combat is narrow and stale that’s not gonna matter people will drop it immediately. This dev just isn’t very good at making good and deep combat systems. At least not since their first ever game battle arena toshinden which was a literal fighting game. But the story looks complete, music is the best of any anime game I can think of, character models are high quality. And a lot of care was put into it. Just looks like it’s gonna get boring fast imo. Combo system too lame and all the meter reliant actions cost too much.
