For the vanish wars there is simple solution it used to be a mechanic as well where after a certain amount of vanishes it would trigger an impact to break the unlimited chain.

@ it should be all grabs that have the spin animation if I’m not mistaken. Ones like recoomes where it’s just a downward grab and smash cannot be changed. It all depends on the animation.

Like the counter idea between you and seereax. Here's another idea where after the fourth super counter, they transcend into another mini game where they teleport all over the stage in high speeds leaving orb shock waves ( like in the anime. leaving everybody having difficulty keeping up with their moves) as you gotta hit the promps. buttons. There's 4 impact clashes, why not a fifth one. If i remember right I think raging blast had this in their game. It was slow looking which if DBSB speed it up i feel it'll be more satisfying rather then waiting on one person to run out of ki

Lotus, You can't immediately press a special after a throw you have to give it a second once you get the timing down, You will enjoy it more. Also characters that throw down are hard to set specials up with unless you are high up

I also don't like the down throws, but if you are close to their legs afterwards and they don't get up right away, you can OTG ground grab them right away to throw them back up and follow with vanish attacks

One thing is that you can't super counter mid vanish war, you can only do them after the first super counter where both can be super countering the super counter or after a knockback, the person getting knocked back can super counter the next knockback.

Honestly, for me at least I feel like Super Counter is actually kinda nerfed compared to Raging Blast. It's still really good but, in Raging Blast you could do it for practically nothing and with a cinematic so you can't really be punished for it. It's still a little obnoxious in Sparking Zero, don't get me wrong but at least it costs something. While Blast Stocks may be a lot more common to come by in Sparking Zero, having it cost 2 Blast Stocks and I think some Ki is a step in the right direction. I personally just think that the timing on the Super Counter and Vanishes should be a little tighter though. In Raging Blast and Tenkaichi you had to lock down that shit because the tempo would slightly increase with each Vanish. With Sparking Zero, they don't change the tempo so it's a little too easy for it to devolve into a Vanish War where you always see the Victor based on the Ki. So what used to be a really impressive almost side mini game, now feels more predetermined. Another thing that I feel is missing is a definitive way to punish Vanishes. In Tenkaichi you had the ever reliable Explosive Wave and Super Explosive Wave. In Xenoverse you had certain moves that specifically punish Vanishes, like Mystic Flash. In here you have Afterimage Strike and Wild Sense but that just registers as an extra Vanish. It feels like Utility Skills like Explosive Wave should just receive a blanket buff, but I'm not sure how it would affect the whole Defensive options being too strong in general though. Sometimes I'm playing Ranked and I just wish I had a way to definitively counter the Yajirobe Defensive Time Out Meta that's happening right now. Yes they nerfed Yajirobe a little bit, but they wouldn't have to nerf him if people couldn't Rat with him nearly as hard abusing the kind of unbalanced Defensive Options. I feel like Sparking Zero right now is one of those games where you're actually losing if you're on the Offensive. Which feels kinda wrong to say, but it just feels like there's a big gap in between how strong either of them are. Which in my opinion shouldn't be there.

Like I could be right next to you, see you, and still not lock on for god knows what reason. In the meantime the opponent is getting a free sparking charge like wtf. Just a really stupid and not well thought through mechanic. Hope it gets fixed next

See if they’d left it fully BT3 mechanics and vanish wars etc and left off the raging blast Bs mechanics they tried to sprinkle in there we’d be fine because if you ran out of ki during vanish wars in BT3 you’d both empty vanish reset neutral and then get back after it it wasn’t always who had more ki winning the battles
