For the holiday switching, Christmas is also too close to thanksgiving and New Year’s, we should switch it with Valentine’s Day. That breaks the monotony of seeing your family 2-3 times in 5 weeks, it makes Xmas something to look forward to during the slog that is late winter, if you got a valentines date and it goes well you can go do some New Year’s Eve stuff the next week and it guarantees everyone has a way higher chance of having a snowy white Christmas.
