Original Video The intern and cameraman had nothing to do with this upload. Lou Holtz was doing an interview at my old station when he was the Gamecocks head coach. He tears an intern a new one, makes her cry at the end and shows his true colors.

Saban would have screamed and thrown a a bottle of Coke if he had to wait around for 5 minutes.

There's no excuse whatsoever for treating people like that who are only doing their jobs. I don't care who you are. It sounded like a miscommunication that Holtz blew out of proportion, and nothing more.

I just saw Lou Holtz speak in Atlanta and he went on and on about his love for his wife (which I don't doubt) but, and this is in his words, "most of all you've got to treat everyone with respect. Everyone. From the janitor to the President." He specifically said that he used to treat those on the set with respect (no joke!) because they helped him be a better broadcaster!!

I don’t even know who that man is but he is extremely rude. You should never treat people that way even when they make mistakes. Try to be an understanding and kind person. Whether you’re rich or poor. I don’t care how much fame, money, and power you have-always treat people kindly.

If he treats people like that in public when the camera is right there, can you imagine how he acts behind closed doors?

I love it how people take Lou's side. Yes, he's so important that God forbid it takes a few minutes to get the camera ready. Yes, she deserved it because she was just trying to get him to standby. His time is so important that no one should DARE waste it. Even unintentionally. Lou Holtz is a god and the rest of us are just insects. Why should he have to wait for anything? He coached Notre Dame!!

Anybody who's been around Holtz knows he's a first class prima donna and has been all through his career. All this crap about being a "people person" and "world class motivational speaker" is a joke to anybody who's worked for him or with him.

I think what makes lou so upset, is that she called him "sir" instead of mr. Holtz. Lou wants everyone to kiss the ground he walks on. I have witnesses it personally. I once saw mr. Holtz at a hotel in California that I used to frequent a lot. He treated the hotel staff like crap. The guy thinks he's the pope. Lou holtz was a good football coach, but a horrible human being.

Holtz... the gift that keeps on giving. Even without the hill-jack accent, he's a hill-jack.

If it were an HOUR, I could see him getting upset. But it was FIVE MINUTES! This was probably before Lou's days on ESPN, because anyone in broadcasting knows that it takes more than 60 seconds to get ready and do an interview. "I told you one minute and I've been standing here for five." Wow, Lou, what humility. I never understood why so many people hated him until now.

He was a well paid motivational speaker at a corporation I formerly worked at. The guy is a complete fraud-on the stage one of his themes was “treating everyone with respect.” Once he was done and off the stage, he was very difficult to deal with and very rude just like his actions on this clip. Treated two of our HR people who were assigned to him at the event like trash.

This is a guy who wrote a book at Notre Dame & in the book called his player "A loser that will do nothing in life." That tells you all you need to know about him & what a jerk he is.
