When I hear this, I think about getting lost down on Riverside Drive in Baltimore, in the marshes. My wife had just died at UBMC. Our baby; she was just 11mo. old. It was desolate and beautiful. Looking over at the Key Bridge, I stopped put my head down and despair took hold...

Have you ever heard a coffin sound? Have you ever heard a coffin sound? Then you know that the poor boy is in the ground [Verse 6] Oh, dig my grave with a silver spade Well, dig my grave with a silver spade Well, dig my grave with a silver spade You may lead me down with a golden chain [Verse 7] Have you ever heard a church bell's tone? Have you ever heard a church bell's tone? Have you ever heard a church bell tone? Then you know that the poor boy's dead and gone" (while I was on the run with Dylan's "Well there's one kind of favor I'll ask for you Well there's one kind of favor I'll ask for you There's just one kind of favor I'll ask for you You can see that my grave is kept clean. And there's two white horses following me And there's two white horses following me I got two white horses following me Waiting on my burying ground. Did you ever hear that coffin sound Did you ever hear that coffin sound Did you ever hear that coffin sound Means another poor boy is underground. Did you ever hear them church bells toll Did you ever hear them church bells toll Did you ever hear them church bells toll Means another poor boy is dead and gone. And my heart stopped beating and my hands turned cold and my heart stopped beating and my hands turned cold And my heart stopped beating and my hands turned cold Now I believe what the Bible told. There's just one last favor I'll ask for you And there's one last favor I'll ask for you There's just one last favor I'll ask for you See that my grave is kept clean.")
