Exactly. Creating broken homes like this is abnormal and damaging for entire communities. People like this do not prioritize the well-being of their progeny. Say what you will about college, but some form of higher education should seriously be mandated to lessen such extreme ignorance. Or maybe it's a morality problem, I don't know.

Sexual desires could then be satisfied in a direct or perverted manner... _*_So the energy of the society decreased, and then disappeared."_*_ He points out that "No society has yet to succeeded in regulating the relations between the sexes in such a Way as to enable sexual opportunity to remain at a minimum for an extended period." - _*_and thus all societies have collapsed._* - J. Although I don’t disagree with the sentiment; PLEASE allow me to give you a brief history lesson. MEN through out history have had multiple “baby momma’s”. Emperors/ Kings had harems ( a collection of women they used to provide them with a MALE heir). They also had a problem b/c the kings/emperors and other court officials would not only pit the woman against each other but would often pit their MALE HEIRS against each other. While BARTERING their daughters to foreign lands for various reasons. When MALES of African American decent were enslaved they were shipped from plantation to plantation to be used a STUDS (term used for animals that impregnate their female counterpart). The enslavers uses this as a way to keep the coffers full (humans). I’m pretty sure you meant to harm by the video you posted. As an African American woman with one child and one baby daddy. I take offense when others outside of our race and struggle “bring light” or attempt to “educate” us on what problems we face in our communities. The next president of America has 5 kids with 3 different woman…does he get a stamp of approval b/c he was married to them? Or is he also part of the “PROBLEM?”

All the hate y'all like to throw Eminem's way, and you didn't think maybe HE should be put up here as a role model?!? Sure, we all know how devoted he is to his biological daughter, but he was willing to raise EVERYBODY'S kids just to keep them out of foster care, poverty, and the problems that he had to experience!!! First up...wait. Maybe it's a tie. When Marshall Mathers was 13, his mother delivered a half brother she lost to the state around age 8. He tried but failed to get custody right then, but as soon as he started making $ and had the resources, he became Nathan's guardian. Meanwhile, wife Kim's sister had a daughter who was spending a lot of time with them and their daughter because of her mother's drug issues. When she died, Em made it official and permanent. Kim hadn't quite gotten past all of her issues, yet, either, and so along came another child with another man. Again, Em was the one to step to the plate. He wasn't perfect, especially in the years after Proof's death when his own substance issue reared its head. However, he was willing to pay the way and raise every kid in that extended family of drama and trauma so that the cycle finally stopped. Of course, this is Louaista's content, so you can expect death before praise of anything Eminem does...a man who cusses on albums but is so worried about being a good father he DOESN'T in front of kids...

@csmith637 ай бұрын
@@tabernathy0428 SERIOUSLY?!? Did you actually pay attention to the content in this video or the comment to which you're responding AT ALL?!? Still, to address your points as if there's more than willful blindness and ironic idiocy in them, that ex-wife agrees he "didn't do good at marriage"--just like SHE didn't, including by cheating on him. Yet she also says he is the BEST father in the world! I'll repeat that he had no obligation to HER second child most definitely NOT from his swimmers or her niece, but he was 100% ready to step in and give financial and fatherly support regardless. That's particularly striking in relation to this discussion of hip hop's "baby-mama problem" with rappers impregnating multiple women and then either unwilling or unable to provide financially or parentally. He's the opposite; he opted to be a father to all of the children that came to him from HIS mama and the ONE woman he married and with whom he shares a biological daughter. Also, the courts would not force Eminem to be paying child support now that the kids are grown and doesn't have an obligation to take care of his ex decades after divorce. However, he still DOES support Kim financially just because of the real love between them that remains from a relationship going back literally to when they were kids despite the marriage part not fitting the "good" category. Again, contrast that with the stories we got in the video about rappers NOT supporting baby mamas and their own biological children! Many people don't pay close attention to the real meanings of his rap lyrics as opposed to the shock value, but he is always very clear about ideas coming from the rap persona of Eminem, the real person Marshall Mathers, and the alter ego of Slim Shady. Reflecting on his relationships at different points across the decades, he states the smartest thing he ever did was take the bullets out of his gun before going to find out for sure if Kim was cheating and to confront her and the big and burly bouncer involved. He also says the worst thing he ever did was to put his hands on Kim ONCE amidst that mess (and even though she swung on him many times going all the way back to when they'd fight as teens living together). He isn't just bragging about his money, jewelry, big houses, fast cars, and women hanging all over him. He isn't afraid to criticize himself along with everything else he addresses in his songs--including over the issues with his mother! Everyone remembers the early, angry Slim Shady comments and "Cleaning out My Closet," with the video of him burying that past. It was written around the time she'd lost Nathan and he'd reached his limit with her and the media appearances claiming SHE was the victim. He apologized and offered explanations much more forgiving down the line, including in the song "Headlights." I'd already noted his substance issues, although to be clear he is in recovery and has been sober 10+ years. When he almost died, it was being a father that convinced him he had to turn it around. Seeking a sponsor who could understand what he was experiencing, he placed a call to Elton John to ask how it was possible to deal with pain, fame, and the pressures of the industry yet still do music. John told him sobriety would help him do it all even better and became his first sponsor. Royce Da 5'9 gets credit for his own sobriety, as well, but he has spoken about the gentle seed Em planted with him that helped get HIM sober. So, not one of those points I'd ALREADY addressed is actually ON POINT, but now I've thoroughly disemboweled them!
@anonme_7 ай бұрын
@@csmith63 Very eloquently written, tbh, but I don't think your arguments are ever going to be valid or accepted. After all, you're claiming that a straight white man has done a decent job as a human being and a father. That's just not possible.
@csmith637 ай бұрын
@@anonme_ Yeah, it's interesting that critics praise "Mockingbird" and fewer but still a lot even "When I'm Gone," but they completely ignore "Arose" as the closer of Revival, because Revival must be dismissed as universally sucking. Dre has contended for a long time Revival got trashed because people didn't even listen to it all before writing reviews, as he and Em agree "Arose" is one of the best songs you get about Marshall Mathers. Instead of leaving Haile and his kids messages for when he's NOT around, he samples "The Rose" (a huge song those of us from that generation remember as the big hit from Bette Middler's version over the closing credits of a Janis Joplin-inspired movie) to share how he had to fight to be REVIVED when so close to death! It's a concept album with a progression you miss if you don't listen to the end, when HE describes being in a coma-like state unable to talk out loud but hearing what the doctors are saying and taking us through what he thinks in his mind, including being tempted to give up before making the choice to fight like hell to make it back to BE WITH them, instead! Heaven forefend you talk about having to fight your way out of near-death experience of organ failure, giving up drugs, and doing everything you can to support and love your family with such a "white-boy" pop arrangement!!! It's funny; if you listen to washed-up-rapper turned podcaster Joe Budden, he says Revival is "trash" with the part to which he listened having "the worst songs I've ever heard," but also appreciates the "content," because it's Em, who "ALWAYS has great lyricism and content." Ok. That makes sense. So, right you are that straight white rapper should not expect to get a bouquet of roses anytime soon for describing breaking the family cycle of poverty and abuse children experienced that led to substance abuse. That's not a good story "in the trenches." It's just not the kind of content that resonates with them.
