One more thing, Kendrick stated he's a dangerous rapper to deal with in GKMC and DAMN., but he also released Mr. Morale which is a self-reflection upon some of the most vulnerable moments in his life and a masterclass in destroying oneself to rebuild again from the pieces. I think Kendrick is just so beloved by the culture, that battling him, is like battling the culture at the same time, because he is so revered too, it's not unbelievable to imagine he has fans in every bodies camp that would be willing to leak info to him as well, which i fully believe was the case with OVO. That's not even considering his musical acumen and ability too

@MasterIceyy7 ай бұрын
@@itsdacj it's insane that you think the daughter is fake, considering how many things Drake has and continues to lie about. You're literally ignoring Drake lie and contradict himself about feeding Kendrick the info, first he says they fed him the info, then he says the people who gave him the info are clowns. So I guess Drake is a clown then, plus the Weeknd, and Pusha T way back in 2018 also said Drakes team were leaking shit, and we all know how that went with Pusha T. But that wasn't the only thing they were leaking to Kendrick, they leaked the content of the songs Drake was doing, when he was dropping and what was going to be said. You're not talking to me fam. You're screaming in the middle of a monsoon of opinions from every which direction. But if you want, we can adopt your alternative facts and rule set. Every single record where Drake lied about Dave Free being one of Kendrick's kids father w/ zero receipts, eliminate. Every record where Drake lied that Kendrick's wife cheating on him with body guards w/ zero receipts, eliminate. Every record where Drake lied that Kendrick hit his wife, eliminate. @ColdJoeGaming lol you do have a point with the Meek Mill shit but to be fair Meek is a good rapper but not on the caliber of Kdot. I think this comes down to the individual as Meek went at Game and did well against him. Battle rap does matter because it teaches the art of rebuttal. I think Meek underestimated Drake or didn't take it serious because he had a pretty good diss track until "Pest Control" came out lol. Just like rappers, there are different tiers of battle rappers too. Kdot was battling and around Daylyt who is dope asf. So that's why I think Kdot being a battle rapper, plus how he actually raps, you could assume he was capable of doing this to someone.

A couple takeaways that immediately came to mind while listening to this; for one, Em tests everyone thats come to his studio. Almost everyone, even Busta has a story about how Em, not only doesnt like ghost writers and wants to make sure your stuff is your own, but that he will actively tell the artist to rewrite their stuff because it isnt up to par. Like he will actively critique them to their face, and ask them to improve. He wants people to not just be real, but be better. Another is that, Kendrick both reminds me of Em in both the similar and opposite way to how people tread caution when approaching them in battles. There are some people in the rap industry that are rarely approached or dissed because they have the financial and behind the scenes power (Jay Z) to bury/blacklist your career. Theres are some guys who never seem to get dissed because they have gained way to much respect in the business (Lil Wayne). And then there are people like Kendrick and Em. Kendrick and Em are both similar in that people seem afraid to actively approach them in serious battle, and there are a lot of respected people that will vouch for their credibility without them even needing to say anything themselves. But where they differ is the why they do get dissed. People will go at Em and discredit him because hes white, and thats all they got on him. People go at Kendrick because they think the industry planted him somehow even though most of his stuff is as far from any industry hands as possible. Even his own private label. Meanwhile people like Drake somehow completely escape this criticism even when its been rumored time and time again that sometimes he will blacklist certain people from getting plays on the radio.
@franziskamanes91667 ай бұрын
While I totally agree on finding similarities between Kendrick and Eminem, I also, and maybe that is just me, see also some major differencies. As you laid out perfectly when it comes to skill and dedication for the craft itself, Em and Kendrick (and I just focus on this Duo for now - fully aware they are two of very very few GOATs) are on par. They are highly competitive, have major killer instinct and both got the underdog aura. Kendrick for other reasons than Em, but both have it. As of values: both have it and are highly respected because of it. Em is a fierce protector of Rap and Hip Hop per se and he is a true family type of guy that demands respect, KDots values are even but he has the Blackness that Em had to fight for - here it splits. Both deserve major respect. Before the Drake vs KDot beef really blew up, Em was the carrier ender in definition. But hear me out, because Kendrick is a bit scarier. Em laid it out perfectly: you just cannot predict Kendricks next move. But there is more. While both are intelligent, Kendrick is an intellectual. This makes him more dangerous paired with his values. I do not denie that Em is one of the cleverest wordsmiths out there, studying dictionarys and coming with neurodivergent ways of thinking due to mild aspergers and childhood trauma. Em is special. One feels that, sees that. But he is more predictable. Kendrick on the other hand is as I said, an intellectual. His knowledge spans Black Community, History, Politics, Music and all the street knowledge plus human interactions. Kendricks desire to put something of value out there in verses and actions for Black Community is unique and unparalleled. I love both to death.
@SilverSpectre2667 ай бұрын
@@franziskamanes9166 And I cant argue or disagree with you. Because youre absolutely true. Ill go a step further and say, that is exactly what makes Kendrick dangerous because in all of rap beefs and battles, Kendrick is one of a handful that have a very different approach to it, like you said. Not just comparing Kendrick and Em, but Id say Kendrick approaches beef differently than Id say about 80% of the industry does. In most beefs, its a battle of music, beats, lyrics, and credibility. You cant just be a wordsmith, you have to have a hot beat, as well as be able to have the cadence to carry your lyrics and out rhyme your opponent. At the same time, what most rappers do is tear down their opponent not just lyrically, but they will expose all of their vulnerabilities and leave their opponents credibility up to question in the public eye. Its what nearly every rap battle boils down to. Can this person survive after being publicly aired out in this beef, and will you be able to look at them the same because of it. Kendrick approaches his beef VERY differently. Like you say, hes not just intelligent, hes an intellectual. Kendrick took jabs at Drakes credibility as a person sure, but Kendrick also approached it in a way that...its hard to describe, but Kendrick approached it in a way that seemed like he was trying to raise up the culture more than anything. Kendrick wasnt just trying to tear Drake down, Kendrick was trying to actively push Drake out of the culture by showing that Drake is doing more harm than good. I remember when J Cole released 1985. It was a diss that felt more like a lecture. It felt like he took history and predicted the course of events that would follow, and they did. And in a similar fashion, just like with a bunch of people doing edits of his verses from the tracks, they expose not just a lot of what Drake has already done, but what hes been doing ever sense, looking for digital hugs among other things. Listening to Kendricks raps felt like when I listened to Mos Def for the first time, and the first song I listened to by him was Mathematics except Kdot weaponized it. Of course the parts from his tracks that stick out the most are the ones where he attacks Drake, but at the same time, it feels like Kendrick is bringing people to his side by emphasizing the culture like talking about the ATL side of things, brining up the history of why we are even doing this in the first place, etc. Which isnt too dissimilar from what he did in Control. He "dissed" the industry and name dropped a bunch of rappers, but at the same time, it felt like "Im doing this because I feel like its whats best for the industry of rap as a whole", rather than I just dont like you guys.
