I feel like Charlemagne is a perfect example of what a large portion of the internet looks like for certain people. From the critics to entire hate trains and bandwagons, he represents a group of people whose hatred for himself trumps his love for others. Because he sees people tolerating his BS as “Love” and people who he’s surrounded by supporting his behavior are some of the main causes for his continuous lack of sympathy and envious behavior towards his victims.(because “guests” should never endure the amount of verbal abuse that this man slings at them.)

The difference being though that he never tried to front like he wanted to belong in the culture. And even prior to his departure from hip-hop, you could readily hear where his heart was really at. This is the dude who played Bob Dylan covers on guitar and talks about Stevie Nicks being one of his influences (you can hear her influence in particular on his vocals with the "caprino" or "goat's wiggle" vibrato he frequently employs). Think about songs like Feeling Whitney. That's the Post that Austin truly wanted to be. So, I dunno, maybe you don't forgive him for utilizing hip-hop to launch his true career. But to be frank, considering that he really is a great singer & guitarist, I think what he did was forgivable. He gave us some good bops as a rapper, but he'll truly shine and give the fans his best where he is now. And at the end of the day, it's obvious he still has love for hip-hop. Charlemagne hit the nail on the head with Post Malone. He used rap to make it big initially but since shifted to pop and now country. Yes very talented, but used a Black genre to propel himself.

@@smokeybowls187 I get what you’re trying to say, but I just disagree. I think Post comes off nice but at some point actions speak louder than words and at the end of the day he used a Black genre during a time of a huge boom via SoundCloud rap to fast track himself musically. Smart? Yeah. Is he talented? Yeah. Is it a weirdo move that he would proclaim himself to be the white Allen Iverson (a person who was unapologetically Black and himself. A man who told the NBA that he wouldn’t conform to getting rid his “thug” aesthetic for them their advertisers to be happy) and then move into making music with Morgan Wallen (a guy who isn’t apart of the KKK but is clearly much more comfortable around white people and would use the hard R when his guard is let down)? I would say that yeah, that is pretty suspect.
