I knew this video was coming because weeks ago someone walked around MCACN with a 'video camera' (showing my age there) and posted it on YT. In the background I could see you filming this episode, so now you're famous on at least one other channel! Still not sure how the '64 GTO got the reputation as the 1st muscle car when cars like this were running around a few years before. A big (and nasty) engine in a midsize- sounds like a muscle car to me. I guess if Jim Wangers was hired by Chrysler instead of Pontiac things would be different. Love this video, Lou!!!

Never saw a Sport Fury that I didn't like. I bought a '62 4dr sedan for $50, Slant 6 and three on the tree. A decent car until grabbing 2nd gear rubber got the rods knocking, and I drove it for months that way. Actually had to prove to a cop that it wasn't a defective exhaust, just the rods knocking. Of course this one is much better looking!

Hello Lou! I can't believe you found another Max Wedge '62 Sport Fury rag top! (You did a video on a red '62 SF convertible about a year ago.). It's rare to see even one of these babies today, but two of them in one year? Now that's a treat! Also, I remember you did a feature on a white '62 hardtop, and that one had the Max Wedge engine! I really love the red and black interior treatment on this car. And the whole car is just lovely, especially with the top down! And with that 413 under the hood, it can move! I believe I saw this car in a copy of a magazine that I have in my huge collection; I have to find it. This could be the one! Thanks once again, Lou, for another exciting video. Keep 'em coming! I well remember going to see the 1962 models on introduction day. Both the Ford and Chevrolet dealers had good crowds. Last I went up to see the new 1962 Plymouth's.. Sadly the greatly discouraged salesman and I were the only individuals present along with the lonely 1962 models on display.. The addition of the full length chrome trim, triple taillights and the reintroduction of the Sport Fury were all attempts though largely unsuccessful efforts to make the 1962 Plymouth line acceptable in the marketplace. The car featured is an exceptionally nice example of a car very few customer's were excited about enough to write a check for when new..

Hey big bro Lou! OOUUUUTTTTTT. 100%. Another American beauty of the 1960's (tho thankfully not in a girlie pink lol 🤣) that you feature here, big bro. This Sport Fury indeed sounds furious and that is enough to-POW!-knock me into the back seat, my bleached white, working class white boy, tube socked stocking calves and feet limply up, sneakers blown off-completely unconscious😵😵. I seriously give Burt Ward's Robin a run for his money in terms of easily being knocked out and carried off over a guy's 1 shoulder, Lou lol. For real 😉😝. This car is brutishly cool and beautiful, man! Menacing, even. All the special chrome bits and medallions-really special. To say they do not make them like this anymore is an understatement.
