I got my SPD performance turbo whistle exhaust a couple days ago! bout to put her on the truck today! Can’t wait!

i hate people who keep saying that the 2.7 sounds terrible and should keep stock exhaust. They just dont look enough this exhaust sound great and the awe exhaust im looking at sound similar to this one. i like them both

I couldn’t be more pleased with the sound of it. I’ve owned V8’s my entire life. This 2.7 is the tougher and fastest I’ve owned and with this exhaust sounds good too!

Hey! idk if your SPD performance order got delayed, but they just told me that they are having equipment issues so they are backed up by 2 more weeks, just curious if this also happened to you.

is this the full turbo whistle package with the turbo adapters too?! and how much do you think a shop would charge to install the full turbo whistle package & a blow off valve?

Yes it is. Not sure about the blow off valve as I did that myself. That was a pretty easy job. Exhaust job: down pipes back cost me right around $400

Did you get any codes pop for the high flow cats? Did you need to tune your truck for the new setup?

No codes at all and I didn’t need to adjust my tune. The truck feels a bit different as it makes you want to put the pedal down! lol It’s been a great exhaust so far and I have received a lot of compliments.

Hey I was wondering if the borla attack dual exhaust would be louder than this one I just bought a new 2.7 f150 and I want to make it as loud as possible but sound good Also any suggestions?

TBH, I’ve not heard the Borla side by side but I can say this one is LOUD. 😂 I have had people tell me it’s louder than Borla’s they have heard but that would be their opinion. I think the big key is getting down pipes, the borla kit doesn’t include that. I’m sure if you purchased down pipes and added the borla kit you would be plenty loud 😆

Not at all but that def depends on who is driving. I feel I kinda needed a little more sound but honestly as far as cab noise, it’s not any louder than my air intake or bov.

Would this setup work on a 22 silverado 1500 2.7 turbo?

My truck is a 2.7 turbo just on a ford, I’m shocked how great it sounds. Not sure if it would fit a Chevy though, I’d give SPD a call

Is there a particular reason you choose the 2.7 over 3.5?

Well, tbh I didn’t choose. This was my father’s truck and I built it in his honor however, if I were to buy another I’d go with the 2.7, quicker on take off, dependable (hear a lot of issues on 3.5’s), can’t beat fuel mileage, overall just a fun engine to drive. I peel out in these 14.50 wides.
