These guys kick fucking ass in concert. Am 59 and have been a lifelong Michael schenker fan then I saw Akira takasaki in concert. After that it was like Michael who? Seeing loudness was like a spiritual episode. I was on a high for the next month. I got to see the original line during their first tour in the u.s. after 25 years. We saw them in Costa mesa cal in a little hole in the wall place called the galaxy. Went with 2 guys I worked with. We had our own private room right above the stage. Every time my boss looked at he started laughing because he knew what I was talking about with people. Just to be funny hed walk up to me and whisper Akira takasaki. He knew that was all it took and I would spend the next hour talking about loudness while he just stood there laughing. You won't understand until you see them. The best part was that all the songs were in Japanese. This just goes to show the power of music.
Damn, they sound like a warmachine. What a great heavy metal band - with their own unique sound. Glad to know they were already here in Europe in 1984.
Akira Takasaki is one of the greatest guitarists that hardly anyone knows about.

I wouldn't say underrated but definitely unknown. The greatest part is he just stands there like, ok you guys ready? Then it's like being on mushrooms. His hands are so fast. Trying to watch them is like seeing tracers. My buddy is an yngwie malmsteen fan. I still lean into him and say things like what's that guy's name you think is fast on a guitar. Hell just look at me and walk away because there are no words. I still find myself being one of the lucky few that got to see him and knew who he was before hand. I've got some anime sound tracks he's done. I've also got a solo album he did in Hawaii. 1 track he does sounds like raindrops hitting a flowers petals. Just incredible.

I actually use to see their flyers in the SF Bay Area in the early 1980s. I never did go see them, I was strictly into punk back then.

Just trying to get a copy of an album was an endeavor. When I got law of devils land the first thing I did was to record it onto cassette and put the album away.

In The Mirror
Seen a Lodness show at B.B. KING, NYC this summer. What an awesome energy with de public the new drummer is omnipresent! We had a hell out of a night, thanks Akira, for this niponic metal meltdown!!!

3) I find that really impressive. Music ~at least the good one~ knows no boundaries and speaks a language known to every heart. It can be enjoyable and a piece of art. Thanks to this great band from Japan we 're able to know that well. God bless music for that we can forget or just put aside for a while all the harshness of life. Greetings from Greece! We also love love Loudness!
