Glenn....your vocal performance on 'Cold' from the Live Over Europe recording, bro....that was one of the best live performances I have ever seen. It's obvious that song means a lot to you, and your performance of it that night, I don't have adequate words to describe it....just awesome.

Glenn and David are complete gentlemen. I would love to see them play together on at least a song or two before they get any older. Glad to see Glenn in the Dead Daisies now. Saw Whitesnake this past Flesh and Blood tour. Love them both.

God bless Glenn Hughes, he's been through so much and escaped death so many times, his name should be Houdini. Undoubtedly the best rock singer I've ever heard. Tommy spoke the same language as Glenn music wise, but their (past) troubles with substance abuse dictated that they couldn't make MK4 work despite the best efforts of David, Jon & Ian. For me MKS 3 & 4 were my favourites overall.

Hey Glenn - a lot of us fans could care less about the nomination... we all know how damn good Deep Purple is, and has been, through all it's incarnations. We also know the Rock Hall is a pathetic joke. Yes you deserved the nomination and induction, but I wish it was to a REAL Hall Of Fame. More importantly, keep rocking, and thanks for everything you've done.

Glenn is an absolute legend, but i'm with Ritchie Blackmore on the HOF. Purple should have been inducted many years ago and the hall has lost a lot of credibility over their decisions and actions over many bands not being included. I dont blame him for not wanting to attend.

Ian Gillan was an asshole stopping Ritchie Blackmore from appearing. He'll deny it, but Coverdale has said he was snubbed, the new Purple management also didn't want him there. That's a fucking disgrace, he was possibly the most influential of all the members in the band.

Glen, they didn’t invite you and David to sing because Ian Gillan’s head is still in the clouds. He thinks he still has those awesome pipes he once had. U 2 guys singing would only embarrass him greatly as your voice is wicked and Coverdale’s voice is just sweet.

Glenn Hughes doesn't seem to age at all, he's still as over the top as ever with his voice still intact, the only DP singer whose range & power hasn't decreased or been lost with age! And he's eloquent enough to speak the truth on the RRHOF debacle, in that Blackmore was invited but refused to attend, in spite of Coverdale's false claim that he was prevented from attending by the band. Unlike Coverdale, Hughes is a true rock&roll survivor & always a gentleman

Why wasn't Tommy Bolin inducted with Purple? There's really no reason why he shouldn't have been. If people can listen to "Come Taste the Band" with unbiased ears, it's actually a VERY good album! IMO, much better than "Stormbringer" or even "Fireball."

As a forever hardcore MK2 Purple fan I also loved MK3 Burn and Stormbringer and think it would have been amazing to have had Glenn and David do Burn at the induction ceremony. Although it should have been with Ritchie and I'll never get over him not being there. There is no excuse or reason good enough in my mind for Ritchie's absence. He's still alive and well and should have been there! Ritchie's fault, Ian's fault,, managements fault it's all 🐂💩 Ritchie Blackmore should have been there! SHAME ON EVERYONE Ian should have deflated his ego, Ritchie should have pulled up his panties, and management should have fkd off and it should have happened!

Too many egos involved, particularly RB & Gillan. And maybe Ritchie didn't want to be compared live with Steve M, as his guitar work may not now be up to it. Wonder how popular with the band GH is given that his OTT drug lifestyle was a major part of the end of Purple in the 70s.

Glenn Hughes' memory must be a little foggy, or a bad judger of one's age. If Lars Ulrich met Glenn in 1973 he would've been 10, seeing as he was born in 1963. I just wanted to clarify that fact.

Good interview. It's rare to see Hughes take the high ground. Hughes typically says something classless about Gillan, Glover or Purple and conveniently forgets Purple was the biggest band in the world when he joined and his first US tour was in Stadiums. As an example, during his induction speech he thanks Glover and then stumbles through how he replaced Glover. For those who don't know, Glover was fired at Blackmore's insistence because after Gillan resigned Ritchie viewed Glover as Gillan's friend and co-writer so he had to go. It was ugly and Glover has commented how it broke his heart. For Hughes to thank Glover for essentially being fired from the biggest rock band at the time so he could. Ride in private jets and make believe MKII never existed is typical Glen Hughes.

Typical Glenn Hughes? This is the guy who's taken the time to intereact with me on Twitter. Wishing me well when I was in hospital. Anything I've ever seen of Hughes he's always conducted himself as a perfect gentleman. Both Gillan and Blackmore have frequently come across as less so to me. What Blackmore did with Purple prior to Glenn joining is nothing to do with him. Even if he did celebrate Glover's dismissal, which I doubt, why shouldn't he celebrate being given an extra oppurtunity? He didn't fire Glover.

Ron Huther ... your comment does not make much sense ... Glover and Hughes are both equally great musicians and as a hard core Purple fan myself I like equally Mk1, Mk2, Mk3, Mk4 and ... whatever Mk? came after that. Such talent and diverse types of music these guys played.
