There is a whole generation of rock music that people just don't like. The late 90s to early 2000's is that generation. People love ripping on Creed, Nickleback and Limp Bizkit. Though also millenials love listening to music ironically and there has been a recent resurgence for Limp Bizkit. I know several people who went and saw Limp Bizkit recently when they toured with Scowl and some who went to go see Limp Bizkit to actually see Limp Bizkit, which is mind blowing. Creed and Nickleback may have their heyday again but they're no Limp Bizkit. Like you can meme both Creed and Nickleback but they're not so laughable that you'd actually go and see it for yourself. They're way too serious, whereas Limp Bizkit just isn't. Though you never know, maybe after further hindsight, people may start looking at Creed differently. They play on the classic rock station and as young people who didn't experience Creed first hand will not associate them with a certain "nostalgia" those that did experience them first hand, they may appreciate Creed differently and possibly enjoy it.

It's a bunch of hipster BS ... People think hating extremely popular things makes them different or edgy ... Look at any really successful band and your gonna find a large crowd of people who say they hate that band and they'll always have some stupid reason to back their opinion like dude Metallica has sold some unreal number of records you thinking their assholes really doesn't change the obvious fact that their pretty good at what they do
@davidnissim5892 жыл бұрын
@@joshuataylor8294 Agreed. Despite constantly bashing on them, those three bands have held up incredibly well. Limp Bizkit just headlined Lollapalooza, 20 years after their initial peak, and Wes Borland & Mark Tremonti are both hailed as two of the best modern rock guitarists. Creed and Nickelback are both very popular among Christian rock circles. Those bands have been the butt of rock jokes for so long, but they've prevailed.
@williamavitt82642 жыл бұрын
Every Creed album was consistently worse than the last. My Own Prison is a legit masterpiece. Human Clay was ok, but it wasn't anywhere near the quality of MOP. The third album was called Weathered, and that was a perfect title because that's exactly what the band had become. Alter Bridge, on the other hand, is a fantastic band

I just want to go on record by saying that if it wasn’t for creed, the world would not have alter bridge, Mark Tremonti’s solo band, Scott Phillips side gig, projected, art of anarchy, slash and Myles Kennedy, and Myles Kennedy’s year of the tiger album. Creed laid the foundation for some amazing music to come a decade later. Especially with alter bridge evolving into one of the premier progressive metal bands and tremonti becoming what I like to call one of the first “alternative thrash” bands. Be thankful for creed in the mid to late 90s!

I met Scott after a show and talked to him for a few minutes. He was really nice to us and took some pictures with me and my friend.

He admits it when he's the problem, which is a very refreshing take in modern times. Everyone always plays the blame game. Nothing is ever anyone's fault. Kid has a problem in school and is getting crappy grades, has to be the teacher.

MASSIVE Creed fan, as well as Scott's solo albums and his album with Art of Anarchy!

Not a Creed fan because that music just isn’t my thing, but Scott seems like a really cool guy. I hope all the best for him in his future.

Creed had some solid tunes. They were good for the times. The guitarist was always solid. Never bought any of their stuff. But they were always on someone’s stereo partying back in the day. They sold a gang of albums, so someone liked em. Not bad, but not Pantera 🤘🏻

For a dude who has been on a bender for as long as I've been alive, he seems really well spoken and cool and collected. Good for him
