I'm not sure what he would have to be bitter about , he was a druggie and a drunk who messed things up for himself. I'm sure looking back he may have a few regrets if anything.

What's cool about Destroyer is I was born the day it came out. My Dad was a KISS fan and he was friends with one of the big DJ's here. He found out my Dad was at the hospital waiting for me to be born and the DJ stole the promotional copy sent to the radio station to give to my Dad and ended up giving me as a birth gift. I still have it to this day.

Ace was always the funniest member of KISS by far! He's also the most honest and down to earth one in his interviews. His personality is my favorite, and I think that most True KISS fans would say that. Reading the other KISS fans comments about Ace always makes me smile. It's obvious that his fans really love him, both as a Guitarist and a person.

Yeah, he got a little cocky in the middle years there. I like this Ace the best. We had young Ace, the cosmic Spaceman who wove a cool astral guitar spell on us, we had cocky 80s rocker-guy Ace (SO cute though), and now we have this Ace, who's older and wiser, more humble, and willing to share his stories of survival with us. I like this Ace the best. He reminds me of myself, he's human, and I can relate to him the best.

He never was! If there was anyone on earth that you'd think would have a chip on his shoulder or an inflated ego it would be the original KISS guitarist...the most talented and beloved member. Ace is such a genuine guy, honest, down to earth, modest even.... yet he was the most talented musician in the group. His humility and honesty is what makes Ace fans so loyal in spite of his admitted shortcomings and failings. I believe what Ace says. Every time Gene and Paul open their mouths there's an agenda'. Spin. A sales pitch. With Ace there's none of that. Just his honest take on things. I like that. Keep on keeping on Ace. You're a legend.

I'll bet that Paul and Gene were upset, upon hearing that comment! These two always want the glory for themselves. They've definetly been around long after Ace and Peter left... for the second time. But, whose Album sold the most copies, and even had a hit single? I do believe that it was Ace Frehley. Ace put together lead solos that Paul Stanley never even tried to put together. Ace was the heart and soul of KISS. After they put Tommy Thayer in Ace's place, and also put Eric Singer in Peter's place, I lost interest. The original four were the Classic KISS. No one else even comes close!

You know no ones perfect, we all go through our trials and tribulations , just like Robert downy JR. we all still love him, so W.T.F. , the ACESTER is the coolest and always will be, I just wish he would come out of hiding and make another album , I think hes still has at least another 2 or 3 records in,em maybe even more, who knows how many more he could produce if he were to put his mind into it, like he did his solo album, which sold the most out of the 4 members , it sux how the other guys never gave him the credit he deserved, I know the feeling there big time, I used to be in a 3 piece band I was guitars, there was a bass and a drummer, both the bass guy and the drummer always had to have it there way, long story short, that band released only one CD sold over 3500 copies at $12.00 bucks a piece, we never made another CD because I quit, fuck always never having any say or getting the credit you should receive from the guys your giving your all to, especially when they don't sound like there giving it there all, so fuck,em I hate joining cover clown pussy bands afraid of there own shadows, too afraid to make a CD that might get some attention and God forbid we make any kind of serious money , fucking weak assholes ,never let it happen ever again, I wished I was old enough to be in a band with ACE back in the day, I would have LOVED sharing the stage with him ,for sure, nothing but LOVE here for you ACE ,make another record ACE !!! ill buy it, W.H.W. 11-6-19

What irks me is people talk down about people who've struggled with addiction whether it be drugs or alcohol or both. Do you actually think anyone of sound mind and body set out to be an addict? Fuck no. At 19 i was free from the death grip of my father and fuck yea, I was celebrating! Fast foward 20yrs and I realize I can't stop. It took me another 8yrs to finally get it right. I still struggle. Do you think one day I woke up and said "fuck yeah! I'm going to be an alcoholic! Doesn't that sound like fun?" Fuck no! I woke one day and I couldn't stop. It pisses me off that "educated" people act like people with addictions are sub-human or less human than they are. SMDH

It's hilarious every time Paul mentioned Peter threatened to quit, too. I've seen someone like that in life... it's almost surreal to see a grown man act like that. I have seen and read many, many interviews over the years with Ace. I have been a fan since 1975, my older cousin introduced me, saw and heard Alive for the first time; I was hooked! Seen the reunion tour in Vancouver 1996, the band was in tip, top shape, great show! Ace is a tough interview, this young journalist cracked Ace open here, in a good way. Keep up the good work! I felt compelled for the first time every to comment. Thank you to everyone here with positive insights and comments. Ace Frehley is a very talanted, guitarist, song writer, producer, artist and all around cool guy!
