I got to hug Tatiana after their set on their first U.S tour in Los Angeles CA , we were outside smoking section and she came and asked for a lighter we talked as we smoked and after as Cradle of Filth began to play she gave me a hug and thanked me for being humble and not putting her on the spot asking for pictures and drawing unwanted attention to her when she just simply wanted to have a smoke ..... I'm sixty six years old, a former music producer (R&B / Funk) and never listened to metal at all before I heard "PISCES". As close as I ever came to metal was Gothic Rock ala Evanessence . My exposure (completely arbitrary, just browsing KZbin) to PISCES has created a new interest and although it certainly remains my favorite Jinjer piece, there's nothing I've heard (probably 25 songs, all KZbin) that I haven't appreciated. What's more is that now I've found myself looking for other metal fusion groups and enjoying them as well. It may be a little late for me, but as a musician/composer/producer myself I've found a new appreciation for this art form. Thanks for that guys.

I stayed for a long period of my childhood in Ukraine. We brought a little girl back to the US to get her medical help and still trying to get her adopted. She's number 11 for a very rare disease and has lost her way many times. I showed her these guys and her spark reignited, knowing that her people can be so kickass despite never being able to see the country she came from. That whole feeling of being refugees, that's what she has felt for 13 years. Me and my family have felt and watched a country we love suffer. Saw live footage of a very fountain I played in fill with blood. Watching it from afar not being able to do anything hurts. With her medical condition, it's likely she could not go back for a long long time. If we can't get her to Ukraine we can bring a little bit to her. We gotta catch one of your shows so we can show her how Ukraine likes to get wild!

One cool thing about Jinjer is that it shows a "internationalization" of Metal and Heavy Music in general . Great Metal bands don´t necessarily have to com only from U.S. , U.K. or Germany , they can pop out from anywhere in the world .

@@Oubaama Biggest metal band from Germany would be Rammstein and they went to US for over 10 years playing before they got more popular/better known in metal community. KZbin and the Internet in general is now helping to spread the sound of a band much more. Now these days: Babymetal (Japan) would not be touring around the world, maybe not even exist anymore without the Internet(KZbin). Jinjer's (Ukrain) name would probably not have been as well known without the Internet these days. The Hu (Mongolia) a band started pretty recently, they are now getting more recognition. Bloodywood (India) might not even have existed without the Internet (they started as a KZbin channel doing metal covers of popular songs) they played at Wacken this year. Ningen Isu (Japan) has been around for over 30 years. Only last year & this year their name got out there, because of KZbin and wouldn't be surprised if they are selling more albums than they did in the past 30 years. Lovebites (Japan) played at Wacken as well. Without Babymetal would their have been this interest in Japanese bands ? My guess is a lot less.

One thing that would certainly help the "internationalisation" of metal (or any other music genre, for that matter) is if Americans could open their eyes and ears to other languages than English. I would love to hear Tatiana sing in her native language. Jinjer made it because of their talent, but that's not enough in the music industry. You have to sing in English. There's a ton of good stuff out there that will never get international attention because it's not in English. So, unilingual English-speakers: start using Google Translate or even better, learn a second language and see your world expand in front of you. ;)
