Great guitar player and can do vox during some very complicated parts. But his songwriting, ehhh. A lot to be desired in my opinion. Their songs can be awfully busy at times.

I would consider him a legend in the making. Erra has been around since what 2009. It usually takes quite a while, before your really well known and your name lives on to legendary status such as Eddie Van Halen, Joe satriani, malmsteen, and several others I could name. Dude is an amazing vocalist and musician though, and I guarantee he will end up being a legend

ANDY MY MAN. how long has it been.. 10-12 years now? jesus dude what a trip coming across your comment after all these years. how has life been to you?! I remember seeing Jesse and Alex hit the stage for the first time together with "Without regret" and i share your perspective in how proud you are of these dudes. when he talked about maylene being the hometown heroes i was thinking to myself "yes absolutely but Jesse, you're MY hometown hero".

@@andygreen5565 Yeah man I miss the wild that it used to be. Everything was so fun and exciting and inviting in the scene, but it became so inclusive only to those who fit the mold. Cliques and fashion of over-turned the wholesome nature of "everyone's invited PLEASE join in." Hopefully some good that has come out of the covid crisis is that, maybe we can return to form of good-hearted energy and open arms to those who wish of an alternative outlet for passion and unity.

I just got into Ghost Atlas a few months ago. I was fortunate enough to grow up in the era of killswitch, AILD, threat signal. Ghost atlas has changed my life. You definitely created something special that hits my soul different. Cheers.

Saw Erra a couple of times at local shows in Birmingham around 2011. I remember thinking they were really good, but my music taste for what they were doing in particular just wasn't there yet. Now, however, I've been digging back through all I've missed for about the past year or two on and off. I also have some buddies now who went to school with Jesse. Both say he's a great guy.

I find it pretty neat that he said “Caution: Dangerous Curves Ahead” was one of the first drop tuning riffs he learned. That was the same for me. Something about that pinch harmonic just made me want to find out how to play it. Maylene and He Is Legend were the favorites back then for guitar for me!

I always think about Controller when I listed to the Drift album. MS has always been my favorite, followed by ERRA and Counterparts for obvious reasons.

Loving misery signals as much as I did is basically what brought me to finding bands like erra and volumes who were influenced by them. Controller is still one of the best albums I've ever heard. It was with me during very emotional times in my life so controller will always hold a special place in my heart.

The vocalist of Circa (Anthony Green) is my all time favorite singer. Probably explains why I like ERRAS vocals so much. it's always cool seeing one of your favorite bands is influenced by your other favorite band

i literally got a 7 string because of erra and i’m trying to shape a new type of guitar playing more like yours in the sense of rhythm and mixing it with some abr. you guy are my biggest musical influences. keep up the good work

So weird. I’ve only recently gotten into Erra and when I first heard them I was like “this sounds like Misery Signals mixed with Saosin”. So this all makes sense now lol. Love it. I have “Let’s make history. Let’s make history stop” tattooed across my chest. So yeah. I like Misery Signals a lot.

Dude, during that whole Metalcore golden age is when I wrote so much material. AILD shaped the way I played and how I thought when it came to writing. Elegy will forever be my favorite song too. Shits crazy.. I knew I should've taken the Blue Pill..
