lough mask and the mountains

I'm from Dublin with My father from Lacken in Mayo & my mother from Tipp but apart from GAA I'd love to fish & to learn properly. No where so beautiful on earth as in Connaught. I'm 45 & fished on Mask once...i think 1988. A beautiful lake but tbh i haven't a clue how to fish. Would love to come to Ballinrobe or Turmakeady some time to fish. Unfortunately my Dad didn't pass on his fishing skills to me! He caught a huge Brown Trout in 1987 almost 16lbs on Lough Mask. His name is John Duggan. Would love to follow in his footsteps. Biggest fish i ever caught was a 12lbs in sutton Dublin by the Sea in 2003 but have caught nothing since & tbh that was a fluke. I haven't a clue how to set up a line etc. Would be great to fish in my Dads county. I was in Connemara a few weeks ago then Mayo and really fell in love with the region. Apart from gaa you guys have the best Scenery in Ireland and the world! Mayo & Galway Abú!

They are great lakes to fish. I had 7lb fish there last year.
