Louie Bellson was one of Ed Shaughnessy's substitutes with the Tonight Show Band in the early 1970s. Here is a short excerpt of Louie playing his gold-plated Rogers set during a commercial break on the episode that aired February 29, 1972. Louie loaned this particular Rogers set to Sammy Davis Jr, who never returned them to Louie!
