Issac is definetly so often my favourite thing about theis band, but watching this illuminates how much of an outlier he is amongst those musicians. The rest could improv their way to way to jazz infinity, whilst Issac just strums his acoustic and sings milleninal-Dylan-esque verses. It works. Very well. But he mhst have known he didnt really fit with the other members?
@LouSmith2 жыл бұрын
Maybe that had something to do with it. Can't be easy surrounded by virtuoso musicians. But then as you say, he brings a whole lot to the party. (just a little late)
@quitspogo9027 Жыл бұрын
Think its slightly unfair to single him out like that. He was the guitarist, sure, but you'd be a fool to disregard the fact his lyrical ability is more or less unparalleled in the current scene. Clearly we can see he lacked the level of musicianship the rest of the band have, but he made up for it and then some with his writing. As good as the musicians are, Isaac was the defining member.
@laurencegreen1705 Жыл бұрын
@@quitspogo9027 not sure my pon t was unfair. as mentioned, he is/was my favourite thing about the band. Think you're missing my point though - I'm not doubting him a lyricist, in fact, that's why I like him so much. I still think he must have realised he had different talents when the rest of the band started to jam and improv like we have here... Was only pointing out the contrasting dynamic, not critiquing him at all. Couldn't have been too easy on him and could have been a potential source of internal conflict...

It's a slow bur, but It's gathering momentum. I will probably run a crowd-funder to get it printed. I have been at it a decade now and The Windmill hits 50 next year, so the timing is right.
