Louis C.K is always surprising me and making me laugh. It's one of my favorite things to find humor where people think it shouldn't be. Another reason why I love Family Guy. You get caught off guard so often with ridiculous jokes and it's brilliant. I go to sleep to Family Guy every night and this makes me so happy to see he does too. I think if Louis C.K did an animated TV show it would kill!

So true, I love Arrested Development, Curb Your Enthusiasm, The Office, Veep, Parks & Rec, and of course Louie, but How I Met Your Mother, Friends, and especially the Big Bang Theory and Glee do nothing for me. Ricky Gervais's shows, The Good Place, 30 Rock, and early Mrvs Ms. Masiel are great too. Not easy to find new comedies that are actually funny to me, so I usually rewatch my favs or something. The Bear, Beef, and Succession are excellent if those count, they're sorta comedic.

Jong Cardenas I think he's addressed this before. He writes jokes for a living, so he can usually anticipate what the punchline is going to be when he's listening to a joke. He knows the tricks of the trade, so it's harder to surprise him.
