"i'd like to think that i'm a good person, but i don't know man...a lot of it is context" pretty insightful
@mrniceguy71684 жыл бұрын
There’s actually a lot to that. Judges who haven’t eaten lunch give people harsher sentencing. That study has been repeated a few times I believe. You ever snap on someone because you were frustrated? We can behave completely differently depending on how we feel. Now imagine you’re getting a prison sentence and a judge is feeling cranky because he hasn’t had his lunch yet...

That being said, Luois CK is hilarious, and I agree people tend to road rage wayyy to quickly.

I've been listening to the most brutal, mean humor for years. I listened to this special when it came out, but I forgot it, so it was great when I re-listened to it. There's a thing where people on the internet say "I spit water/coffee/etc all over my keyboard" and "I snorted water/coffee/etc out of my nose", everyone knows about it, everyone knows it's bullshit exaggeration. Welp. This is no exaggeration. I just was taking a shot of Crown Royal (it was on sale. it's ok. I bought a half gallon of it, I wished I'd spent the money on Jameson. Still 50 bucks), and I blew the contents of the shotglass all over my keyboard and the piece of furniture I use to put my legs up on. A good amount did indeed travel through my nasal passages. The line that got me: "You tested my reflexes and it worked out fine so now I HOPE YOUR KIDS GROW UP MOTHERLESS" Damn it.

@MichaelJordan-uo1qm3 жыл бұрын
I get this. I have lived in a number of different cities and states and the worst drivers were in Memphis, TN but following close behind are West Virginia drivers. WV has an old and very conservative population and in my current town, people literally drive less than half the speed limit, so if I have an appointment, but know I have to go through town, I have to plan ahead. They also do not use blinkers (which drives me nuts) and they do not display any thoughtfulness on the road. For example, if I am on a two lane road and a traffic light is coming up where I could turn right or go straight ahead, as a courtesy, I'll get in the left lane even though I could equally stay in the right lane and still go straight. I do this because I know I'll be blocking people who could turn right on red but cannot because I'm blocking them while I'm waiting for the light to change. I literally plan ahead for those situations in order to be courteous, but other people do not. Also, I am a liberal in a deep red state, and I often have liberal car magnets on the back of my vehicle. I cannot tell you how many times through the years a huge Truck (and even cars) with a Trump bumper sticker has tried to run me off the road or literally made contact with my car's rear bumper. I have to zen out while driving with the right music to deal with these people.
