This video is about Louis Vuitton Favorite MM vs. Looping Mini and my initial thoughts on their pros and cons. As Favorite has been more difficult to acquire, some people have been converting Looping Mini and using it as a crossbody bag instead of the Favorite. Looping Mini fits a lot more than Favorite MM and has better magnetic closure. I compare the what can fit into each bag and pros and cons of each bag. I hope to convert the Looping to a crossbody bag soon :-). I hope this video helps you!

I totally agree with you, but I sold the Favorite MM because the crease on the flap and the magnetic strength bothered me. But that said, I've been thinking of repurchasing it because I think it's a classic too! I wish I can keep all the purses I've bought and not sell any, but it really stresses me out to have too many purses.... so many times, I sell things I still love because I want something else. Did you convert it yourself? After removing the strap aren’t there holes on the sides?

Sam Grigsby you’re right. The conversion is not complicated since there’s an existing hole when you take off the strap. I saw a video where a person made the hole bigger to convert it. I was trying to find a product that would work with the existing hole and also be able to take it off to put back the original hole. I also know that some people didn’t know how to take off the original handle and I wanted to let people know how i learn to do it. Some people also use a 1/4 inch regular round grommet and put it on themselves or have a cobbler put it on - but this is more a permanent method. Great point! The favorite bag tends to have that crease above the magnetic closure and it doesn’t go away. The crease on my favorite was more noticeable. I also had it longer and wore it a lot. I took it into the store to see if anything could be done but they said no it’s just wear and tear.

Justfun Today they told me that it was a defect and that they’d replace it for me if I had the receipt. Unfortunately, I didn’t have the receipt. It was bugging me too much and I sold it. But, I still think about the favorite. I miss it. :-(. Thanks for your comment!

Great comparison! I have the Favorite MM in Mono and DA- I’ve had both for about 5 months and no creasing. My SA told me to store them with long wallet inside and air paper on either side. This seems to have prevented the bothersome crease that is common with that bag. Just a tip. I love the look of the DA but the vachetta strap makes me nervous. I’ve worn it with a chain strap but that’s too dressy for daytime. Could you recommend a strap alternative for the DA Favorite? I use my adjustable mono strap with my mono Favorite but that wouldn’t look right on DA. Thanks so much for the great video 💕

I double the chain and hook the strap to it. It looks gorgeous the brown and gold together. People have been walking up to me and asking where I got the strap.

I am not sure about the Looping as a crossbody bag. I think it is beautiful as it is, worn over the shoulder. So ladylike. I have both of these bags and love them. But if I had to choose, I'd go for the Favorite.

Therese sends roses I agree they are both beautiful. I’m going to wait to make the decision until I get both bags as crossbody bag with shorter chain. Waiting for all the parts to come in so that I can covert the Looping. I, personally, don't find the rolled handles on Looping so comfortable -- it's not bad, but not too comfortable. But I totally understand what you’re saying. Favorite, I think, looks more elegant and dainty. Is that why you'd choose the Favoirte? Thanks for your input!!’

It is a really cute bag though.... and I love that you can wear it as a clutch. Some people absolutely love it and have no problem with the flap and others hate it and end up selling it. I think that different people have different things that bother them. I showed my magnet to the LV SA and she said that it's normal and not weak. So, it would worry me that it might open, and other people might not care since it's closed. The good thing is that things don't fall out unless I turn it upside down..... But I totally get what you mean.....

I know..... I love both.... but I've got to be honest with you.... if I kept every bag I loved, I would have 50 bags by now! LOL! I constantly want new bags, but I've also got to keep in mind that I'm in a marriage (so far, my husband tolerates my obsession with handbags because I've kept down the numbers and I tell him that I've sold an item (or will sell an item) when buying new ones. Only you guys understand the true struggle of wanting so many purses but trying to keep it "normal". hahaha! But, I totally agree with you that one is more casual looking to me (looping) and the other can be worn in evening out as a clutch (Favorite). Loved your video. I would definitely keep the Looping mini. I had the Favorite MM and didn't like it because of the scratch factor of that face plate and it didn't hold a lot for an everyday bag, which is what I want. Plus, you have demonstrated it is smaller than the Looping mini. In addition, I would convert the Looping to a crossbody and use your reverse PM strap. I am also like you .. I don't want a lot of handbags ... let us know what you decide.

I sold my Favorite MM. I didn't like the line in the front flap and I didn't feel secure with the flap. Looping Mini fits so much (I think due to its wider bottom) and still look like a small bag. I've converted it to a crossbody bag and also put a shorter gold chain to use it over the shoulder. I have to make a video, but haven't had time due to traveling..... I've been thinking of purchasing a brand new Favorite MM (hopefully with better magnet), but after reading your message, I think I'll forgo that idea! Thanks so much!!!

I have the favourite in azur and I love it.... you need to fully stuff the bag at all times to stop the magnets getting so tight together, that’s what causes the ridge. I also slip I dust bag cover round the flap when stored. I always down size my wallet with this bag.... enjoy xx

I didn't know about the slipping a dust bag cover round the flap when stored! So, it's the magnet sticking together without any substance inside the bag that causes the lines? But, I've also read that some people stuff their bags and still get it, and others have said that the older models are more likely to get it..... But I'm sure that stuffing and protecting the magnet must help! Currently, I've turned in my bag with LV to see what they can do (if any) or what they recommend I do to prevent further lines from forming.... We'll see what they say, but I suspect that they'll say that it's normal wear and tear. I guess I was worried because this was an unused bag. Katie Mansfield LV won’t fix it even though they said if I had the receipt, they would switch it out for me. I bought it preloved and had no receipt. It’s not a bad line though... I do have a problem with the magnet for me. Others may not have any problem with the magnet, but it makes me nervous.

Hi! I've sold the Favorite MM, but I really miss it. I've thought of buying it back, but I never pulled the trigger again and now, it's discontinued and the resale value is higher than previous retail price for items that's in excellent condition. I just didn't like the line and lack of magnetic strength of this particular bag - but it's a fabulous bag with a very functional and pretty design! ❤️

I kept the Looping Mini. I agree that Looping is more casual looking than the Favorite MM (especially when you compare it to the Damier Ebene Favorite MM). Looping fits a lot more than the Favorite MM. That said, I keep thinking about getting the Favorite MM again! What the heck is wrong with me!? Looping is DEFINITELY more secure feeling than the Favorite that I sold and can fit MUCH MORE than the Favorite. But, I like that the Favorite can be carried as a clutch, and can be worn crossbody and over the shoulder. But, I have to say, everyone in my family thinks that Favorite is not a practical bag since it can't fit so much and, more importantly, seem not so secure. I'm so sorry for not responding earlier Jennifer! I just saw your comment now! I hope you found a seller for your Looping. I don't remember the exact seller now, but I think any one of them with vast history of selling and excellent reviews would be fine. That said, I always get it reauthenticated once I receive it (I used Pro-Authenticators proauthenticators.com/ before. I'm not affiliated with them, but I found them through Facebook group. There are other authenticators too like Entrupy (which is more expensive but probably more accurate since they have to see the item). Which one would you keep? Favorite or Looping? I think Looping Mini is a perfect size -- I don't have to downsize at all! But, I love that Favorite can be carried as a clutch, crossbody, and over the shoulder and is flat to my body. I'll have to see how the Looping looks after I convert it. Thanks for your input! Myfavoritethings I am having the same fight over here I added the Pochette Accessories in Monogram and the new model Pochette Accessories which I will be comparing the 2 new model Pochette because as I’m sure you know Epi is a bit different than the more pliable canvas however I have 2 weddings coming up I wanted just an essentials bag that wasn’t canvas and didn’t scream LV the black and silver Pochette Accessories is stunning my hubby purchased me a silver shoulder chain to fancy it up and I have a black shoulder chain coming to see how that works so I have been thinking I’m not reaching for my Favorite mm but I’m not rushing selling any of my things right now I re added a bag I regretted selling my video is up about it listed under LV another customer arrive nightmare I think you will be shocked what was done for me to get my Epi Noir petit noe in the new model it’s Now discontinued I also just put up a video on the history of the Noe I sat keep that looping it’s adorable and different everyone has the favorite mm at this point ! I think the epi Pochette Accessoire is beautiful! I had the vernis PA but sold it to get the damier ebene because damier ebene was more flexible and can fit slightly more (I felt) than the more stiff Vernis. However vernis was much more fancy. I just couldn't justify keeping 2 of the same style. So, I sold it when I bought the PA in Damier Ebene. That said, I think Epi is very understated and elegant, and I bet with the silver chain, it will look fabulous! I've also been toying with the idea of selling everything both and buying a Reissue 225 in RHW or black hardware. I've sold the Chanel Mademoiselle recently and have the Chanel jumbo listed. Although, I'm very ambivalent about the Jumbo sale since it is a super functional bag. Purse Peace --- does it exist???? LOL. If it wasn't for this community, I think my husband would have divorced me a long time ago since I would have to talk to him about my crazy thoughts about purses all the time --- Thank God for my KZbin friends! Gives me a chance to talk incessantly about my love of handbags!

I've had 3 looping minis so I think I know what it should look like. But I got each of the three Looping bag authenticated even though I was pretty sure they were authentic. I think lighting is off in this video :-). The Favorite MM was sent into the LV store since I wanted to see if I can get the line on the flap removed -- they said that because I didn't have the original receipt, I can have it repaired for cost (if I wanted) even though it's a known problem. They said that if I had the original receipt, it would have been a free repair. I opted not to repair it since doesn't affect the function of the bag. I eventually sold the Favorite MM and I still have one of the 3 Looping minis. I converted the Looping mini so that I can wear it crossbody and gave it as a gift to my daughter. She absolutely uses it all the time as a casual everyday bag! You are absolutely right that there are super fakes even with older models. That's why I authenticate everything I buy preloved --- even the ones from Fashionphile or Yoogi's Closet (a well known resellers). Thanks for watching the video and your comment! ❤️❤️
