❤️Please use your own judgement in converting your Looping Mini. I have done a lot of research and asked several people in LV Facebook group, and I found that there are many ways to convert a LV Looping, including taking it to a cobbler. I have decided to use this method since it appeared to be least destructive to the original integrity of the bag (I can use the original handle later if I want to) and easiest for me to do.
❤️The old vachetta strap is off and I've put on a new grommet which can accommodate 2 straps (one short and one long).
❤️I also discuss what happened to my LV Favorite MM and my experience with durability of MCraft leather strap.
❤️Since this is a screw grommet, I think I would recommend to periodically check the screw to make sure that they didn't get loosen with use and time.

Thank you so much! It is a really convenient bag..... The only thing that irritates me sometimes is the magnetic snap (when I can't seem to find it to close) and the front corners of the bag curl up slightly. Otherwise, I love the size of this bag --- fits more than Favorite MM and fits everything I normally carry and is very light. My husband says he doesn't understand why I get super picky and obsessed about handbag features and wear and tear whereas I'm very easy going about everything else in my life! hahaha! I love your videos on this bag! I had to laugh when you said you had two! I started with the gm which I converted with similar hardware from Wuta on Amazon for something like $20. And now have ended up with all 3 sizes! I wouldn't hesitate to convert another and gift it! Also the prices on these on the pre-loved market are fantastic considering the original retail prices. In my mind, I got all 3 for about the cost of a lower end LV wallet in store. Thank you for sharing these! I have no regrets about not purchasing a favorite.

Robyn, I still think about the Favorite MM especially in DE print. But, I have to say that the Looping Mini fits so much and is such a useful and carefree bag (especially after I took off the vachetta!). I really bought 3 (yes, 3!) Looping Mini. I bought one for me and one for my mom as a surprise gift (which I sold when she didn't want it). Then I bought another one when I saw a great deal on eBay and converted it and gave that one to my daughter! She doesn't have any luxury bags, but she absolutely LOVED especially when I told her that I got it for a great price and that she didn't have to worry about ruining it and thereby losing a lot of $$$$. I think that vintage LV bags, if you can find them in great condition, can be better than the newer designs they have now --- seems more durable and better contructed. Thanks Andri! This is a very versatile bag once you convert it. My daughter, who doesn't have any high end designer bags, carry it all the time because it fits all of her stuff and is super lite. It's been a fun project (which is saying a lot since I barely can screw on a light bulb!). :-)

Hello! i was wondering on the mcraft strap. is the measurement 44 just the strap (and clasp is not included in the measurement)? Also, I am debating between the 10mm and 20mm. I was curious if you ever felt the 10mm strap being too thin or digging into the shoulder? Thank you again for answering my questions! I should be getting my mini looping in the next couple of weeks and am excited about converting it.

Jennifer, the clasp is included in the measurement. I got the 10mm because I thought it looked better than the thicker strap (like the Favorite MM thickness) and I didn't feel like it was digging into the shoulder. That said, I think that it depends on how much you put into your purse...... The bag, without anything in it, is very light. Good luck in your conversion! I hope you like it. :-)

They both seem okay. The grommet from the second video has thinner screw (diameter), but with the washer from the original bag, they both seem solid. I'm not sure, over time, what would happen, but for now, they both seem solidly stable. I gave one to my daughter and the other one I kept, but I'm finding that I'm not using it a lot. I find the magnetic snap a little annoying since I have to find the snap to close. But my daughter loves the bag and uses it all the time. I just remind her to check that the screw is solid periodically -- just make sure that it doesn't slowly get unscrewed. I like the bag because it's light, but the fact that I can't readily find the magnetic snap annoys me. So, I don't use it a lot these days. Also, the brown adjustable (not from the etsy store, but from Ebay store from China) worked out well for me and was cheaper (I think I paid around $40) -- it feels slightly morely rubbery than the Etsy store ebene like strap, but it looks fine. I hope this helps!

Thanks for your comment! Unfortunately, I've never done this with a Looping Gm (and have never seen it in person), so I don't know which grommet would work. I think Looping Gm is thicker in the hole than the mini...... Sorry that I couldn't be more helpful :-(

Hi, thank you so much for watching Leticia! I have bought these bags from an eBay Japanese seller (www.ebay.com/usr/yoridorimidori) and a seller from U.S. (this person only had one he sold to me). I would make sure that there are no cracks on the canvas and that the handle hole is not stretched out or torn -- that is, that the original handles secured to the purse without any stretching of holes. It is 10mm wide. I thought this thickness is better for this size bag. I went for the darker color strap rather than the lighter vachetta strap because I didn't want to worry about water stains or darkening of the strap with the vachetta leather. I wanted it to be as worry free as possible. I have also found another adjustable strap that's cheaper on Ebay 1.2cm brown adjustable strap: rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?icep_id=114&ipn=icep&toolid=20004&campid=5338454706&mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fitm%2FReal-Leather-Replacement-Adjustable-Shoulder-Crossbody-Strap-Handbags-Purse-HQ-%2F252574773623%3Fvar%3D%26hash%3Ditem0. It's slightly more rubbery feeling than the Etsy strap, but it was well made, adjustable and cheaper, and I thought the color was very similar to the Etsy. Thank you so much! I've never attempted to convert the GM size.... I think you should google if it's the same since I think I read that I may be more difficult.... I don't think it's the same as the PM. I don't think I would try to convert the speedy 25 the same way. I've seen people hook a strap on either side of the handles (kind of like how Alma bb is strapped), but I was told by a sales associate that it is not designed to handle the weight evenly by doing it that way and that the canvas may rip because of the uneven distribution of the weight. I love your video!! I actually bought the looping mini at Fashionphile 3 weeks ago. I purchased the chains as well so I could convert it to cross body. Unfortunately, I couldn't get the other side of the vachetta off, it is too tight!!! I tried to use a plier but it's just too tight and so hard, I'm afraid to ruin the inside fabric. Any suggestions how your husband was able to do it?? Thank you!

I'm so sorry that you're having a hard time. I was really scared too when I couldn't get it off! My husband didn't do anything special other than to grab it by the edge (as shown on the video) and twisting it. Just make sure that you don't grab the fabric. I don't know if you could tell since I sped up the speed of the video, but it took him several tries to get it off. I have heard people taking it to their shoe cobbler and having them take it off and putting grommets by them. By the way, my Looping Mini with the wobbly grommet issue is solved, I think.... I ordered another grommet from a different Etsy vendor. The grommet came with even thinner screw. But, I was told by a Facebook group person to try the washer from the original vachetta to anchor it more, and it worked! It's really stable now. I'm going to redo the other one with the washer too. I plan to do a quick updated video on this conversion really soon. I really hope that you are able to get the handle off! GOOD LUCK!!! FINGERS CROSSED!!!

I totally understand! It's been a while since I bought these bags, but I'm sure they were around $250...... Definitely under $300. Keep your eyes open on resale markets (I got mine authenticated by Pro-Authenticators (I paid, I think, $10) to make sure that it was authentic (although I was 95% sure that they were). Geeta it’s by lookidd and as far as I know I don’t think there’s another size. I got the gold color. I’m ordering another grommet now for my bag which had the slightly larger hole since this one was a little wobbly on mine (although it functioned fine). Good luck in your conversion! I find that it’s a great alternative to the favorite mm!

I'm not sure.... are you trying to buy a grommet or a bag? $750 CAD seems really expensive for Looping....... You can get one on Fashionphile now in mid-300's and on eBay, you can search and get something for good prices too..... Maybe copy and link the site on this thread? I'm not sure.....

Jennifer Cho I’m sorry Jennifer but I don’t remember and I am unable to go back and find out. However I remember that it started with Y. Also brandoff is another big Japanese reseller. I think that it’s a crime in Japan to sell non-authentic luxury items, so it’s pretty relatively safe to buy from Japanese reseller. I hope this helps!
