Hey everyone! This video was REALLY REALLY just meant to be an open discussion about the ongoings right now specifically with current LV releases - I really do realize there's far larger problems in the world and don't mean to offend or be ignorant or look like I'm complaining about a wallet. My channel revolves around shopping and particular brands so I'm hoping this can be a safe space to talk about just that xo

I had to return 3 of these same card holders in the neon yellow color. I was soooo disappointed and upset because the quality was so horrible but I wanted it to work out so badly AND the colorqas so hard to come by. After the 3rd I gave up and it was discontinued soon after. All the issues I noticed were also peeling at or near the stitching, or near a corner. My thought is that the fabric cracks with the pressure of the sewing needle. I only notice that issue with the brighter colors. I didn't see those defects with the standard color/designs. I did return all 3 because I knew within time that areas would just start to peel off and get worse. I was hoping this was no longer an issue but I still that it still is. Sorry you had to go through this. LV quality/inspection quality has gone down so much within the last several years.

1) you look cute 2) your item in pink or fushia is not available in all countries 3)prices may change until items are launched 4) SA or CA are sometimes misinformed or have no informations about new products. They generally have them last minute 5) if your item is not perfect you should bring it back to the store even if it's a tiny little thing. The price we pay isn't tiny so the item should be perfect Great video and thumb up

I would have returned it as well! It’s so bad. I don’t mind the stitching too if it’s off but when the canvas is visibly peeling off, it’s a big no no.. How did it even pass Quality control!? Glad you returned it

Oh nooooo! I’ve literally just ordered one of these 😭 Hopefully mine is all good. For the price of the item, there should be absolutely no flaws at all. That’s the whole reason we buy into these brands and pay more!

Oh Nooo Matt 😔 I am so sorry to hear about your pouch, but you are absolutely right, for the price you pay it should be perfect and I can‘t believe how SA‘s at Louis Vuitton have a lack of knowledge and communication these days and I am not sure if it was always like this or I just did never pain attention to it, but I hate when they are not able to give me the right information or any informations at all. Definitely return it. That little scratch can easily get worse especially with an SLG that's prone to high use. For the price you pay for it, it should definitely not have any issues.

Yes def send back if you haven't already done so, can always wait for a better condition one later. I love it though, I have a few small LV wallets, debating if I should get this one too

That's a gorgeous piece that I definitely will be keeping my eye on. I understand the doubts about sending something back over a seemingly minor flaw but I agree with your decision. When it comes to purchasing pieces from brands that consider themselves luxury and high-quality, I think it's our responsibility to hold them to that standard. They are charging you for a rare, top notch product that can only be purchased through their company. And at the end of the day they have the resources to fix that minor issue in like 2 seconds and sell it to the next customer.

You are not being ridiculous Matt. It’s your money and since you are paying for a piece in hopes for it to be in Brand New condition, when it’s not, i’d return it too. A better one will come if it’s meant to be! 🤞🏼

I'm waitlisted for this wallet, I won't get it until next month but I am so excited. I have been scaling back to smaller and more compact wallets, so this pop of color will work perfectly in my collection. I am really hopeful that mine is perfect! For this much money I will not settle for glaring flaws.

I 100% agree with what you are saying. I bought my first designer item last year, it was the Louis Vuitton Monogram Eclipse Coin Card Holder. Such a beautiful item, but it was faulty which was very disappointing since it was $480 AUD, so I had to return it. Thinking of getting the Fuschia Coin Card Holder as it's replacement 😍 So I think it's fair to exchange / return an item, you pay a high price for Louis Vuitton pieces as they are hand crafted and the quality should reflect the price 😊

I think you are absolutely right sending it back. It is not just a matter of being bugged by a small imperfection. It is a small blemish now, but it will certainly cause major issues later on, peeling and even worse. And at LV prices, nothing less than perfection is acceptable. Thank you for the video!

I just got mine and it’s going back too. The zipper is so sticky and hard to open. Not the usual like butter zipper I’m used too.

I love how someone commented in point form, I second that opinion- you look cute. As for LV- they are positioning themselves to rival Hermes and are trending toward leather products and away from Canvas. Hence, they’ve made their canvas pieces non pre-orderable(to coin a word). I have an excellent CA and give him my wish list and he’s able to procure most of them for me when they become available. I pester him with future releases much like you and make sure I stay on top of things. Usually a day or 2 before release, he sends me pics of what’s available in store and I’m able to order those items right away. That’s how I managed to get my Fuschia selections, including the PO at the original price of $400. As for your coin-card, don’t worry what others think. If you are unhappy with the product and it’ll bother you, return it. It appears that the stitching pulled the leather, tearing the top coat.

I would totally return it even it is only 40 dollar after tax. Because this imperfection would bother me so much. Hope you will get a new perfect one soon. 😂👍

It’s just lovely in that fuchsia color but if those flaws drive you mad I would return or exchange. I’m glad I saw your video as my SA just ordered this for me, I’ll be sure to give it a close look over.

I’ve wanted this card holder in Orange for at least half a year and it was impossible to get a hold of and it is now discontinued in that color! 😭 Good call on returning it. You don’t want to be delicate with any SLG as they get the most wear.

I'm supprised that the Sales assistants don't notice these imperfections, or do they just not really care that much. Maybe they assume with all the hype, people will just except whatever... I hope you get another one, it is nice.. :)

Agree on the lack of transparency and clarity on ordering. This has been very apparent with the upcoming watercolor collection. CA say they can take pre-orders, then the next day they are putting you on a list, then the items are not order able, then the next day you need to be nominated and selected by corporate to be able to order! It’s a mess...they need to have better communication with their CAs and provide clear guidance on the order process for each launch ( seems to differ with each launch as well!)

I think the issue is more common today. i.e. they sew pieces of damier ebene canvas together on a neverful and you can see the red interior peeking through the brown stiches

I am with you! I LOVE Louis Vuitton but their attention to detail has definitely declined. I just purchased the Damier Graphite 3D Canvas earlier this year in the Multi-color and I have to say, the checker/Square patterning does NOT align in the back. I wish I could attach a photo but I ended up keeping it because it was so hard to get. Last year I had the same issue with the white damper and returned that one (

I thought I was nuts that the price on the organizer went up. Like I was thinking 'I must be crazy'. I bought both but had to just to see them in person. Going to pick up tomorrow but one is definitely going back. I too am sick of this, you must pre order just to even see something.

I use to be a HUGE Vuitton fan (like literally I have/had every category of product but hard sided) but honestly they have become the fast fashion of the luxury realm. Trust--the pink made me almost want to buy it because I loooove pink... but the material is not worth it, the prices keep increasing, they don’t educate their employees, and they only really push their associates to sell leathers, RTW, exotics, jewelry... when they are literally known for their canvas. 100% send it back hunty you are worth way more than what Vuitton has to offer these days.

I can see that clear as day! You're definitely NOT being ridiculous, petty or nit-picky. Absolutely RETURN. Don't settle for that flaw just because it's hard to get right now. Seriously there will be another out there. If your SA doesn't pull through, it doesn't hurt to just call Client Services and get them to place the order for you when it does become available. The SA is supposed to do an overall quality check before shipping but he probably wasn't thorough enough, assuming it was perfect since it is a brand new release.

I would return it. And how they managed the stock is appalling. But it is the lure of the brand and exclusivity of a piece that makes it hard to balance what is and what should be.

OMG! I can't believe your thumbnail just happened to pop up after watching another channel. I changed usernames and lost my list of subscriptions. How are you? Are you still dancing? Are you still in NY? Looks like you moved to another place. I'm after that same Fushia Pink Coin/Card Holder. It's all SOLD OUT! I'm so glad I didn't get it in Eclipse. I really want that same color. LV quality has gone down hill. They don't seem to care because people continue to buy their goods. I'd return it. For the brand and price, you need to get an item made perfectly. This is what I personally would do.
