The Saffiano leather works so well on the Prada Re-Edition. I love that it can be worn casually during the day but once you remove the fabric strap the bag looks so dressy and elevated, perfect for a night out! Definitely on my wishlist now, thank you :)

I love the Prada reedition. Bought the guy version in nylon so it’s a bit bigger and lighter. bought a small chain to copy the girl version. I think it’s a good every day bag too. 😂

The Prada looks so much nicer/ more elegant! It would be super easy to go from day to night and look very chic and classy with the slim bag and gold chain. I don’t think people give it enough hype I like the multi-pochette for having the extra bag because I love to compartmentalize but I hate how they only offer it in the monogram. The new multi pochette just doesn’t do it for me since they changed the shape. I also like that, worst case scenario I could use the individual pieces for catch-all/organizers/toiletries in my larger bags

The Prada ones, whether tessuto or saffiano, are less maintenance than the LV one because they have no choice untreated leather pierces whereas the LV bag can discolour or patina where the vachetta is present.

The Prada is more timeless to me. It's very interesting watching trends resurface. Prada has been one of my fave handbag designers for a long time and no one seemed to be into the brand even 2 or so years ago and now it's an "IT" brand again, which is kind of annoying when people only like things because influencers say it's cool again(not directed at Alyssa, just in general). Anyways, I never liked the multi pochette because it looks like they glued one bag on top of another LOL. the black and gold on the Prada combined with the saffiano leather texture is gorgeous and way more timeless in my opinion.

Definitely agree, I think Raf Simons getting on board with Prada is going to help with the resurgence even more, but it is always fascinating to see brands have their moment and how social media affects it. I'll admit, for a long time there wasn't a Prada bag that really grabbed my attention. And can see what you mean by the MPA looking glued together too haha.

I LOVE Prada but disappointed with the saffiano leather - I purchased an orange Prada saffiano tote and the corners & handles worn immediately - just awful so sitting in my closet. I have an all leather Prada mini bag which wears much better than the saffiano.

Just fyi, the thicker straps on both bags can be used as belts, combined with the mini pouch, you can basically have a "statement" waistbag

Don’t really agree on which can last for years, I think the LV one can last longer as the monogram has been around for years and Prada is known to be very trendy. Additionally, LV resale value is better than Prada. I will go with the LV as I don’t like the palm spring bag and to me this is the one LV piece that I see myself keeping. If you know that this is a trendy piece, all the more you should get something that has a higher resale value. If you get the LV bcos it’s in multi pieces, after the hype you can still take them apart and use them separately. But sadly you can’t do that with the Prada one. So I’m still getting the LV. Thanks anyway for showing the comparison.

Personally I like the LV one. Just not a big fan of Prada. I used to not like LV monogram but I think on small items / small handbags it actually looks cute, especially on this pochette. I prefer the brown color of the monogram than the pure black of Prada as it seems more boring

Love this review but ended up with the LV. The Prada chain was weirdly grabbing hair and not in a good way. Although the LV is more expensive I feel like it will be worth the money in the end. It's versatile and can be used multiple ways vs just one from the Prada.

I definitely feel the Prada one seems more timeless/classic; however, the LV multi pochette that comes in black Empriente leather also looks quite lovely. Only drawback is it doesn’t come with an extra zippy pocket, but the decorative chain it comes with is nice. I do wish the LV multi pochette came in the Damier Ebene leather with a dark brown/black strap. Not a fan of the khaki coloured LV one, and the fact the Prada strap is black (plus you can flip it to the plain side or logo-ed side) is another tick for the Prada imo.

I think the Prada reinvented is more comparable to the LV Wave Multi Pochette. I would choose LV over Prada, I have the LV and it is just so versatile and have more variations on how you can wear it, i.e., wearing it all together or as separate pieces and using different straps
