This review was so great! I just purchased the Neverfull as my first designer bag!

Thanks Nina! Ah what a great one to start with - so classic and from what I understand, they're virtually indestructible :D

What are your thoughts about it after two years ?

I bought a Neverfull for the same reasons (I wanted to treat myself and I wanted something that would have a life beyond baby) - plus, I think traditional baby bags are UGLY! But, after a few months (once I was spending a lot more time out and about with bub), I found it really cumbersome, especially if I was without my pram. I ended up buying a (pretty daggy tbh) Skip Hop backpack, which has made life so much easier. I still love my Neverfull though (and don’t regret buying her), but she will be my work and travel bag from now on. Glad you are enjoying yours - happy Mother’s Day! 😘
@mademoisellejaime4 жыл бұрын
Great minds think alike haha! What size did you go for? I’ve found the MM size fits pretty well underneath our pram, and if I feel like it I’ve been using a small crossbody for personal essentials. That being said I know heaps of mums find a backpack easier and more practical 😊 Happy Mother’s Day to you too 😘
@nataliekelleway89244 жыл бұрын
I purchased the GM size because I preferred the slightly longer handle drop and I wasn’t sure the MM size would work if I ended up formula feeding (which I did). I almost wish there was a size between MM and GM - MM and a half? You’ll have to do a follow up review once your boy is 12 months old, I’d love to see if you continued using it as a baby bag. I find now that my baby is 9 months old, I have to carry so much more - snacks, entertainment, changes of clothes.

Hi Jamie, I screamed when I saw your upload, coz I have been thinking about purchasing never full bag for few days, I rang the city store this morning to book an appointment for visit. What a coincidence!!! I was considering to get gm size since I got two kids and need a big bag for weekend activities, but now I see your mm, it's so cute, actually might fit my body height better (157cm). I will have to compare two sizes in person when I visit the store. Thanks! Hahaha I still can't believe this video's timing😂 X Lynn
@mademoisellejaime4 жыл бұрын
Talk about timing! 😊 it’s a beautiful bag and so durable - definitely a good option if you’re after an open tote and want something that is virtually indestructible 🙌🏻 if you can, I’d suggest also taking along with you all the items you’d need and seeing how they fit in both sizes when you’re in store too. Will give you a sense of whether you can get away with a smaller size or not 👌🏻

I also bought mine from a shopper, who also sells preloved bags. I had mine preloved but still in pristine condition. I think the damier ebene is the best neutral and durable canvas Louis Vuitton has.
@mademoisellejaime4 жыл бұрын
Ah that's amazing! I looked pre-loved but all of the bags I found were more expensive than buying new (bizarrely), and I found the rose ballerine combo was a little trickier to find (at the time anyway!). I totally agree with you - I'm obsessed. Would love to maybe look at purchasing a monogram canvas piece sometime in the future, in no rush though! :D

So very well-organised! I wasn't brave enough to use my Neverfull as a baby bag and wish I did as I only really just use it for travel and the odd days where I have A4 documents to carry. I think it gives such a fab but easy-going mom look! Hope you continue to enjoy yours! Happy Mother's Day!🌷
@mademoisellejaime4 жыл бұрын
Thanks Patti! I think the thing that sealed the deal was meeting a friend of my dads. She’d had her Neverfull for over 20 years, used it with three of her kids I think, it had been spat up in, the lot, but still looked amazing. That alone totally sold me on its durability! I think once our boy is older, I’ll definitely use it less as I tend to prefer a smaller bag, but I agree it makes a good choice for travel or days when you know you’re carrying more. I found myself taking it to the shops lots (while pregnant) just as it meant I had somewhere else to store any small bits I may have picked up while out and about. Thank you so much and happy Mother’s Day to you too! 🥰😘

Fantastic content today - really enjoyed this (especially bringing in a new element of using the “bag-whisperer” Gab Waller)! The bag size looks great on you. I purchased a big Oroton baby bag when I was in my 20’s as needed a tote, and thought if I got a baby bag it would be multipurpose. I never did get a baby...but Ive still got the bag. I’ve had it for more than twenty years now and used it a lot (it’s now my pool bag).

Thank you so much! Haha yes hopefully that was helpful if you were considering ever using her for a purchase. Honestly, the woman is amazing - I just love following her to see what she sources for her clients alone! :) That is wonderful - I'm totally with you on thinking beyond just one purpose for a bag. Hope you're keeping well xx
@nikkijackson59754 жыл бұрын
Jamie this has been most helpful. I think i agree with you re the organiser. It is too cumbersome for the bag and when you held it up in the beginning of this video to me it looked like you had a shoe box inside. I love the bag, it’s Devine. You must put your sunnies in a case, they will get scratched. The little pouchette is handy too for all those personal things. Thanks.
@mademoisellejaime4 жыл бұрын
So glad you found this useful! Yeah, that's one of my issues with it. I know you can get different styles but it's this boxy shape which I feel most people tend to have? It just didn't really work for me in terms of organising items the way I wanted to either. And don't worry, I do have a case for my sunnies, I just forgot to grab it prior to filming (and I have to be pretty quick about filming these days, working around our baby's schedule LOL!) xx

Hope it was helpful! Hehe yeah I thought it would be handy to have - but I prefer having the space over the compartmentalization. Pouches are always good to use as an alternative if you want things to stay organized too I find! Thank you - celebrating my first Mother’s Day today 🥰🥰🥰 and getting lots of cuddles! Hope you’re keeping well and having a relaxing weekend x

I always love your reviews even if I am not planning on purchasing anything. You are very organized and detailed. One random question- is the blue notebook something doctors have you keep in Australia? I’ve never heard of that in the US.
@mademoisellejaime4 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much! Ah so that blue book is essentially a track record of your baby’s growth and development, vaccinations etc. so each time I go to the doctor or community nurse I have to take it with me and they mark down the baby’s weight, height, head circumference (and check this on growth charts), in addition to anything else (illnesses, rashes, nursing issues etc). It also tracks developmental milestones (motor skills and the like). I don’t know if they do that in other countries, though so feel like they have a similar system in NZ with Plunket (I think my mum had a plunket book for me but I’m not sure). Hope that answers your question!

I wouldn't recommend the Everlane tote as a work bag though. I had the market tote and the leather stretched the very first day I used it after packing it with items (Kinda similar to what you packed in your Neverfull). It was devastating but eventually Everlane gave me a replacement tote.
@mademoisellejaime4 жыл бұрын
I haven't had that experience with mine, but I have found over time the leather goes a little more floppy? Just one of the qualities of the type of leather used. Great to hear you were able to get a replacement for yours in the end and thanks heaps for sharing your experience :)

myview I thought the same, I have a crossbody for my stuff and use a bag which can be strapped to the pram for baby’s/toddler’s things
@mademoisellejaime4 жыл бұрын
I’m a wee ways off so have no idea what to expect when our son is older - I imagine it’s one of those things I’ll adapt to when it happens. I’d probably just buy some additional nylon pouches and keep things organized that way so they won’t fall out as I find most things are pretty secure in the bag when I have the clasp done up. I’ve found when I’m taking the pram out I like to have a small crossbody bag too where I pop my phone, lip balm, keys and wallet so that might be my solution?

Great review. I do like the NF, it fits a lot and is not a trendy purchase. Don’t like the felt organizers- bought one of course but never use it. I wear it either without, or with nylon/saffiano organizers from Coccinelle, Mango does affordable ones too (both can close with drawstring) and this spring I bought one from Massimo Dutti, it’s textile/leather combo with zipper, fits quite nicely in the bag, but the nylon ones are more practical for baby bag -the lining will be fully protected.
