I KNEW it was going to be the Popincourt when you started talking east/west 🤣 Several years ago my mom and I were waiting in a restaurant lobby to be seated and she saw a woman go by with one. She pointed it out to me and laughed about the shape, thought it was odd and weird looking… and then it settled in her brain and she could not stop thinking about it and somehow fell in love with it and then she bought one. Now that bag represents my mom to me 😂 I told her she’s never allowed to sell it; it’s not my style, but I will be keeping it 500 years from now when I inherit it. It’s unique and an eye catcher and being a discontinued, older piece, I think the quality is great. I love all these “old” new pieces you are finding.

Maybe someone had the vachetta replaced as many are.doing that now instead of buying the expensive new not as quality bags. That's a very classy bag. I think it even looks and works better than the Alma -- and that's saying a lot. You can wear it to dinners, formal events, even weddings. Goes well with dresses and gowns as well as trousers and jeans. Top handle bags with no longstrap option scream CLASS to me.

I love this bag. I bought this bag a couple years ago at a garage sale, got it authenticated and only paid $100. 😮😮. My leather isn’t perfect, but it can definitely be replaced. I didn’t even realize this was an east west style.

I weirdly guessed correctly! I used to have the Popincourt in the taller version when it first came out. The balls sold me lol. Just be careful of the corners. They easily start to (omg I can’t think of how to describe it) not unravel, not quite peel off but a chunk of it where it’s sewn starts coming off 😢
