LOUIS VUITTON UNBOXING | FASHIONPHILE SENT ME THE WRONG BAG

What would you do in this predicament? I am not too upset about being sent the wrong bag. The BB in my opinion is the best size for the Louis Vuitton Capucines but I did technically order a PM from the website. I have contacted Fashionphile but I am also waiting on another order to arrive to compare the bags with one another. I am also waiting on the end resolution with Fashionphile! 😅

Whatever you do, don’t send the bag back if you like it if they are offering to do a price adjustment or send you a correct tag or something. You’ll never see it again.

Sometimes they label the bags incorrectly on the site . I think you should keep it what a beautiful steal ❤️❤️❤️

The Capucines used to come in BB, PM, and MM. Then they introduced the mini and the BB size became the PM size. It looks like you got a galet that came out when they didn't have the mini size, so yes you have the old PM size not the new PM size.

Ok that makes sense. Do you by any chance know when that happened? I was trying to find that information out on forums but came up empty. My reasoning behind this curiosity because they said the bag is a microchip bag and LV started microchipping in 2021 if I am not mistaken so I am trying to see if everything adds up....

I thought the bag was from 2019 but that doesn't add up with the microchip and I have no clue when the sizes changed

I don't know when it happened. I do know that I have a PM that I purchased in 2018 or 2019 and it has the same exact measurements as the new BB@@hayleysroom

Yes, the bags changed sizes at one point. When they first came out they also had a GM which is now the MM. I was very confused about this as well and that is what I discovered after researching it. I think the dark blue bag you are describing used to be mine did you buy her?

Girl i recently bought a Chanel mini from fashionphile and the dust bag the Chanel mini came in was a fake the Chanel logo letters literally came off once I put my finger nail under the letter C it came right off I was shocked and I plan on getting both Chanel bags that I bought from fashionphile authenticated from a 3rd party .

@@hayleysroom Thank you and Update FASHIONPHILE literally sent me a Chanel Dust bag for shoes not a handbag so I just ended up requesting a return sucks because I love the color of the bag and did want to keep it but the bag still had the tag and was just a few days old so I figured I would return it lol

They sent me the wrong bag twice. Once it was somebody else’s bag they had tried to sell to them but it was fake, so Fashionphile was sending it back to them….but they sent it to me instead. Another time, I purchased a Kelly 32, but they sent me a Kelly 35 instead. Two other times after that, they sent me a bag that was NOT the size on their site, ie, I got a GM size instead of a PM size.

I asked for a price adjustment and they said no. They asked me to send the bag back and I said no! I liked it and still have it to this day. I asked for a sales tag and box label with proper specs and they again asked me to send the bag back. I told them no way. I knew I would never see it again. I have ordered many many bags from them since, so it did not hurt my reputation with them. I have always ordered with caution since then, and have encountered several more mistakes.

Oh wow..... I am still debating on what I should do. I really like the bag and they have no alternatives on their site at this price so I think I will have to think long and hard about if I want to return it.

I'm confused lol! When you pulled it out I was like oh that looks like a BB size, but I also have the BB in galet...and the shape of it is more like your blue one. But if you like it and it's in good condition, I would keep it--I'm just wondering if there's a price difference? Interested to hear how this plays out!

I am still on the fence when it comes to buying from these companies that sell used luxury items. How do you authenticate this purchase? Can LV authenticate it for you ? From your comparison , you mentioned the bag feels lighter and I am sceptical given you getting a size different from what you ordered. Please let us know how this ends….

When buying preloved it’s really easy to get them authenticated. Fashionphile and Rebag are super trustworthy for authenticity. I buy from them often and have never had an issue.

I think it honestly depends on the item. There are a few items/brands that generally have a higher resale value than in-store purchase price- a lot of Hermes and Chanel.

It is called the Louis Vuitton Capucines BB in Topaz :) I see that a few stores around the world have it available to purchase but the only one in the USA is in Hawaii. I did find one second hand at Vestiaire :)

I think it is due to the color that it looks bigger and due to the hardware being complete metal while the hardware of the galet is mixed with leather which makes it look a little smaller in comparison.

Check the code it should be the same as the one you bought from the listing

It does not have a code due to it having a microchip. My bag has a different code because it was a different bag with a different SKU (item code).
