The tune never stops, it goes on even if we are not here to play it, so is the joy to listen, to feel and to go forward to next tune

It is easy to see why louise Mulcahy inherited Liam's pipes. She lives and breathes Irish traditional music and is a master piper.

Wow. What a fantastic programme. Louise you are an absolute joy. Your lovely accent, musical talent, your unbelievable knowledge of music and especially folk music are simply off the scale. I have not enjoyed ANY programme as much as this for as long as I can remember. You are a wonderful person and with so much humility, enthusiasm, passion and sheer talent. A million out of a hundred.

Really interesting and enjoyable insight into a most wonderful and generous human being . Particularly lovely tune you played in the stone flagged hallway. Special thanks to Jane O'Flynn for sharing something truly precious and then inviting you all back for tea and a visit to Liam's music room . And while you're here in himself's own music room with a set of himself's own pipes, why don't you play us a wee tune? No pressure then. Thanks to all for making the video and for taking the time to upload.

Very inspiring and moving. Beautiful music too. Indeed our memories of meeting such important musical characters early in our music studies do stay with us forever. Personally I will always treasure my first ever workshop which was with Louise herself! Her patience and generosity motivated me to continue, as Liam I'm sure did to her... and the wonderful tradition continues...

BBC are you watching this? This is the type of music and presenter you absolutely should be broadcasting to people in the UK. Louise is so charming, passionate, talented and very beautiful. She makes so much we are forced to watch pretending to be music on BBC2 and BBC4 look and sound like so much trashy garbage. Come on British TV THIS is what we in the UK absolutely hunger and thirst for.

I really enjoyed this programme. I wonder what album Liam O’Flynn recorded the tune “The Pipers Stone” on?
@ITMAVideos3 жыл бұрын
Hi Rune, delighted to hear you enjoyed Louise's episode of Drawing from the Well. Liam did not commercially record the Piper's Stone. The written tune was discovered in his Archive after it was donated to ITMA, along with a 'non-commercial' recording www.itma.ie/digital-library/sound/pipers-stone-jig-liam-oflynn We are just so delighted to have this and other compositions by Liam in the collection. Not sure if you have subscribed to the ITMA KZbin Channel but please do to stay in touch!
