Everything looks clean and wonderful, love your patience and approach. I have never seen a detailed clutch install before, ( I’m a 727 dude but not by choice) I wish I had a clutch car, I did not know that the crank has to be modified and all that. Great video, I can’t wait for the install video!!!

Thanks Max, it's nice to be able to do the clutch job when the motor is out of the car and you're not laying on your back.

I have both the tube bender and flare tool, that I used for many years. Unfortunately now they are collecting dust in my toolbox. Many Years ago, my uncle Allen, sent his wife to the John Deere dealer for a replacement fuel line for his John Deere A. The dealer gave her a factory, preformed line. She took one look and told the dealer if she were to bring back a bent up line, she would be in trouble with her husband.

Funny. Yes, I know that these specialty tools usually spend their time in your tool box unless someone else needs to borrow it.

Great video!! I’m curious why can’t you make it aU bend with the gas line instead of using the rubber?

At the time, I couldn't find a fitting that went into the 3/8" NPT of the fuel pump to the 3/8" flare fitting. I've since found something and may make a lower hard line.

Why didn't you paint the back of the engine ? It's getting closer to a running and driving car looking good
@Chuck_House_of_Mopar3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Tim. The back the engine never gets painted. When they painted them at Chrysler, the transmission was already installed. On an aluminum bell it would have paint overspray on it and this cast iron bell was painted entirely for rust protection I guess.

LOOKING GOOD! What were your thoughts when you decided on the diaphragm style pressure plate, instead of the Mopar Borg & Beck type? Were YOU looking for some red light pedal relief? Later, Frank Parks

I don't know Frank, I honestly never looked into anything else other than what Brewer and Passon had to offer. I did have to cut out the over-center spring on the clutch pedal though. Not fun, plenty of hot metal chips down my neck. Thanks
