We are doing that when we go to Walt Disney world in September we only live 15 mins from Heathrow but it’s so much better to have the night before in a hotel by Heathrow then have early breakfast in the morning then no hunting around for food at the airport just check in the through security then relax 😊

You should plan a day trip to Cape Canaveral, where the NASA space station is. You flew over it on your way in. You can see rocket launches if you're on a trip when they're scheduled and there's a mini space theme park to tour. The beaches there are also great and in the spring the Indian River has bioluminescent algae, awesome view on a jetski tour. Only a 45min drive from Orlando.
