Can I just say how much I appreciate that you actually addressed the measuring by weight vs volume? It drives me nuts when that is skipped over in beginner tutorials! Thank you, and I've now subscribed 😊 Gorgeous coasters and the coaster stand is absolutely brilliant! 💜💜💜💜💜

Thank you for the mixing by weight/volume explanation I have been wondering about that as a new resin creator and opening my own business and want to be doing it properly so thank you again! In all the videos I have watched, nobody has really said that usually all say 1:1 or 2:1 which is misleading if you're measuring by weight which I am 😅...I will be subscribing and tuning in to you from now on! And I love the boxes and will check out the print then cut tutorial! Thanks for sharing 👍 ❤ Simply-Cole

Louise, I just found you this morning. I have to say your voice reminds me of flowers. Just lovely to listen to you. Consider looking for work as a voice over for just about any thing. Also, you could read children's books to kids. You would be a huge attraction to kids i am sure. Your voice and speech is beautiful. Sincerely, Rick from Utah

Thank you so much :) I have considered doing audio books for children, I used to teach young children and story time was always their favourite time of the day. Until I started on KZbin I couldn’t stand to hear my voice recorded , it didn’t sound like ‘me’ but now I’m used to it I feel more confident. Plus, all the lovely comments from my viewers are a real boost.

Hi Louise, I've just found your channel and what a refreshing one it is. Apart from the fact your in England , I presume, you are so easy to listen to, well organised and Flash through the bits we dont need to waste time watching, like mixing resin. Also no overbearing music, one of my pet hates. I like symmetry too and also like to be prepared and organised which, sadly, not all demonstrators are, sorry to them but it does make a difference. Their work may be great but messy and longwinded, which I don't have time to watch. I've only watched this video of yours but plan to watch the rest ASAP. Youve given me so many good tips just in one video. I'm fairly new to resin so I'm learning a lot. I really love the coasters as there's so many variations and easy to make. Thank you from Wirral.

Wow, what a fabulously supportive and uplifting comment. I know it impossible to please everybody, some like music, some don’t, some like the amount of narration and some don’t. As a result I have to deliver what I would like to see as a viewer and like you I don’t have the time or the interest for unnecessary footage so I try to keep my videos as simple and snappy as I can. It means a lot to me to get feedback that lets me know it is appreciated. Thank you very much indeed.

Glad you ran by the difference between volume and weight, thank you. Now down to the powders 😍 how lovely are they and I know I should have picked up the metallic sharpies when I seen them :( I also end up with something in my resin, paint, varnish no matter what I do and how careful I am there is a foreign body in my work. Emery boards and nail buffers are the biz 👍 Your packaging just gives the finish your work deserves, love it!

Hi Louise. Fab video - you have inspired me to give resin crafts a go! How much resin did you need to make those coasters? I'm unsure whether i should buy a beginners kit or take the dive and buy the expensive bulk resin!
@LouiseSingletonCreations
@LouiseSingletonCreations 4 жыл бұрын
Hi, I can’t remember exactly but I think it was around 300ml. Starter kits are actually the most expensive way to purchase resin but I understand where you are coming from, it’s a big initial outlay to purchase large amounts.

Hi, what you do is great ! If I make/create a plate that I don't like, can I modify it ?How can I modify a resin plate ? = put it in the microwave to melt it? In hot water? Or with a paint stripper? Thank you so much.
@LouiseSingletonCreations
@LouiseSingletonCreations 4 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately you can’t do any of the things you mentioned but you could paint over it with either another coat of resin or first use acrylic paint and then resin over the top.

I’m new to resin crafting! What brand do you think is the best priced for the product?
@LouiseSingletonCreations
@LouiseSingletonCreations 3 жыл бұрын
That’s hard to answer. Best priced isn’t necessarily the cheapest. I wouldn’t recommend buying a resin based on its price because the cheapest ones could give you poor results which could yellow very quickly. I would recommend buying in larger quantities because that saves you money. I nearly always use resins from Resin Pro because the quality is amazing and the price is very good. HI Louise, New subscriber! Absolutely loved this video. Very novice so I'm using this video ass a guide for my first ever resin project. How necessary is it to have a heat gun or embossing gun?
@LouiseSingletonCreations
@LouiseSingletonCreations 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Rosina, thank you for your support. That’s a tricky question to answer because, yes you can do resin art without a heat source BUT I would class it as one of my essential tools because I use it a lot. It all depends on the kind of resin, the technique and the effect you are going for. In the video I just made I didn’t use a gun or torch at all because I was using a deep casting resin which disperses bubbles by itself. Also the role of the heat gun is not solely for popping bubbles it can be used to create effects in resin too. I hope that helps a little.
