Enjoy the run it’s a wonderful game. It’s full of emotions and you’ll get easily attached to the characters. I know you just started it but make sur after finishing it you play Gaiden before Like a Dragon 8.

It's hard to come back to the combat in this after Infinite Wealth, which improves on it in pretty much every possible way.

@@HollowGolem yeah, doesnt help that I didnt really had a lot of time to play it, so I rushed the story, and this is a game where you cant do that, being underleveled a bunch of times was frustating and made most fights boring af lol, I really wanna give it another shot but when I actually have the time to go really in depth into the game, maybe then I'll turn my mind around!

I found AJ's playthrough of this to be the best, Hopefully this one will be too. I'd also recommend watching some of the cutscenes in English on your free time, 'cause the dub in this game is phenomenal.

@@fnord3125 Huh, this is the first time I've seen somebody skipping something for NOT playing on the dub. Nothing wrong with that, I get it, I enjoy the dub more too, but it's certaintly an oddity.

@@yanribeiro7108 in my case it’s purely because i watch her vods as a second (literally third) screen thing while working. that’s way easier when the game audio is in a language i understand. i love playing the earlier yakuza games, and other games with japanese audio, but if i can’t read subtitles, i can’t really do it for this purpose…

@@fnord3125 Yeah, I figured it was something like that. There's a youtuber called PatStaresAt who plays it on dub, and this is one of his reasons for doing so, to make it easier for people watching it in the background.

@@yanribeiro7108 yeah, i just have really enjoyed watching a lot of Hannah’s stuff in the past, but i skip on her yakuza plays, a series i also like. recently i thought to myself “oh it’ll be nice when she gets to Like a Dragon, because it’s in english” but nope, she decided to do it in japanese. ah well, such is life.

it just reminded me how much i hate virtua fighter in this game. VF5 is easy, spam one attack and win on easy mode, but VF2 cheats so hard i couldnt beat final boss even after looking up cheesy strat. and that ruined my attempt at clearing completion list after grinding all other mini games and talking to omlette for 2 hours just to get a freakin golden egg

So happy you picked the JP audio, so many people i watched played the series then switched to English for this game and regretted it half way through lol. The English voices ruin immersion and hearing certain characters with different voices that you know kills the game.

I've also watched plenty of people play it in English and enjoyed it. I even saw a few people play through it twice in Japanese and English and enjoyed both. I personally prefer to play it in Japanese, for consistency, but I've seen enough playthroughs of it in English by now that I enjoy it almost as much in English. At the end of the day the reason we have multiple dubs is to allow everyone to enjoy a video game in whatever way they please. I don't know why so many people need to act like that shouldn't be allowed.

Sometimes people like to actually listen without having to read the subtitles. I'm that way with streams; I rarely watch them without paying attention to something else, which isn't really something you can do with subs. Also, lol people still throwing shade at the dub, even though it's actually really good, like a couple of ignorant elitists.
