Thinking past performance is a sign of how good a team or conference is now is a pretty big sign of being a casual. Just ask Alabama. If Louisville and Kentucky swapped conferences six years ago, I guarantee you Louisville would've still been better than Kentucky. The difference between the SEC and the ACC is notably shorter than people want to pretend. The biggest difference is name recognition, not strength of schedule. The only people who think Kentucky is good enough to compete in other conferences are people living in fantasy land. It's a way to rationalize Georgia struggling against them and Ole Miss losing to them.

Kentucky fans much like I do better remember the bad years we had before Stoops. It's hard to recruit and win at Kentucky. He just had a bad year offensive line was not good. I do think he is overpaid but most of them are. They gave him way to much money to keep another team from poaching him. If coach Stoops is still in charge next season, it will be 13 years and there is no team in the SEC that keep a coach around that long unless he was winning big time, bowl games or national titles. People would say yeah. He won 10 games and the citrus bowl a few years ago, but they had to vacate those wins and the citrus bowl because of things that were done by players off the field under his watch. He should have been fired then and Kentucky wouldn't have these problems, now you want to get rid of him but it will cost you $44 million to do so. Insane!!!!!!
