All law enforcement agencies should be required to use and operate body cameras at all times when dealing with the public.

I’d rather be assigned to a coroner call with a body that has been cooking for a week, over doing traffic control.

Having complete faith in the judicial system tells me you've never been in the judicial system or you're a cop that is well protected by said judicial system.

If you can’t remember to follow protocol and turn on a body camera should you really have a badge and gun?

If a rich professional athlete with credentials, a marked PGA vehicle, security and dash cam footage disputing the initial police report, contradictory statements from the mayor and police chief saying the officer broke protocol and was disciplined, can still be charged with a felony and misdemeanors shows how broken our judicial and policing system are. It’s not difficult to imagine how someone else would fare with none of those things working in their favor. The right thing to do would be to hold LEO’s accountable like we hold those who break the law accountable. This may cost the city and ultimately the tax payers millions of dollars for a misunderstanding and an unwillingness to apologize and drop the charges. The almost blind support for this officer with glaring evidence stating otherwise is a big part of a growing problem between the public and law enforcement.

Something tells me I should pull public records of the people you all have encountered, especially being deep blue law enforcement.

Sounds like the cop was out of control. He was frustrated and took it out on Scotty. Why did he beat the car with his flashlight? He had no right to do that.

Obviously you've never had to do traffic control for a major event . . . nearly run over by impatient drivers or people not paying attention, incessant people saying they NEED to get into places that are blocked off, etc.

@@Mounty621yeah, this cop here wasn’t “almost ran over” though. Looks like he was on a power trip and fell down on his own accord only to try and blame someone else for it

I don't have enough facts to know if the charges should be dropped. I do know firsthand working traffic control is dangerous. People (not all of course) turn stupid when they see flashing police or fire dept lights. Even more so when they are redirected from a route they were planning on taking and are comfortable with. I've seen people drive around radio cars and through crime scene tape. I've almost been hit by cars several times at accident scenes. I hated working traffic control and always had my head on a swivel.

So a full show about excusing a cop for doing wrong anf "attacking" and detaining a guy who was told by the cops collegue to go on driving to his tournament. I would get both cops in the trial and ask them who has the most authorty, if they can not answwer they of course did wrong, the dragging part is actually not relevant here and the charges are "excuse charges" that the cops file to make the victim look criminal and to excuse their own actions. The rule is this: COULD this have been delath with diffently, if the answer is YES the cops are wrong, easy

America faces these things daily. Common since Answers. After a louisville police department has 7 fbi investigations for corruption. One remedy. Force body cams. Why would a lawful officer resist transparency? Why are citizens having to buy their own cams while enjoying libetty/travel? Why do law officers get mad when you record your traveling? Why do law officers get upset when you record any interaction with the police? Why are officers admittedly trained to Lie? Why do law officers who swear an oath to the constitution. Try to find a way to violate search and seizures 4th amendment protections? Why is it acceptable for law officers to lose their tempers. Berate. Get physical. That if any citizen acted in such way would face serious crimes? And these so called moral authorities wouldn't blink an eye destroying your life. Side note moral authorities aren't adulters, pedaphiles, liars, thieves. Also aren't a moral authority when real crimes happen. They don't have time for it. To busy being highway robbers on the side of the road. Will steal your paycheck boy. Don't make them mad. Bow down and lick their boot. I love real law. Real moral authorities. But when the state becomes the biggest criminal. And a police state. Papers please Germany. 4th amendment. Conditioning a citizenry. Good luck in the next war with a nation of sheep. And you beg for my sons to die for you.

Traffic control = short-tempered cops. I had one who thought I was trying to cut in when it was merely I couldn’t tell that anything was wrong and that there was going to be one lane of traffic instead of the normal two at the light. He slammed his hand on the hood of my car, fury and hatred on his face and made me wait and be the last car. This was an intersection that should’ve been pretty easy to manage, so I’d hate to see how he acts at one that’s really a challenge. I just shook my head at him in total disgust.

it's my experience watching hundreds of KZbin's that police officers, every single time, embellish their story (human trait, preserve job) and the badge cams or dash cams ultimately reveal the truth in all it's good & bad. It's a good thing this guy is high profile VIIP. If he wasn't, he'd be in jail and no one would hear from him again. The officers are always right and judges side with officers.
