As a lifelong Phoenix resident of 35 years I grew up in the city during this man’s career and I give him tons of credit because this city is no joke there’s some real bad hombres around these parts. I grew up on 16th Street and Oak in the 90’s-2010’s and the gang violence was jumping as well as the drug trade. It was pretty crazy when the baseline killer situation was going down because even tho we had constant gang/drug violence we were all freaked out by the thought of some random dude driving by shooting us especially when there’s always people walking around the hood. My lady worked late hours at McDonald’s in the area of the baseline shootings and sometimes shed have to walk home by herself and we didn’t know who the next victim would be. Anyway as I said I give this man tons of credit because I know the type of houses he had to run into and I know the type of people he was coming in contact with and it’s the worst of the worst, this is a city where even the nice criminals will shoot you 😂

I worked for the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office as a Detention Officer, we at first relied on what ifs when doing a cell extraction. We did not carry firearms inside the secure areas of the jail where you could come across an inmate or two. The jail I worked at had 2,000 inmates of maximum, closed custody and administrative segregation, then we started getting cycled through training for use of the restraint chair, this meant putting a huge sergeant in the chair while he fights with 100%, we got him in. The thing he told us after we got him out of the chair was that he would be honored to work a cell extraction or inmate riot with any of us. That was an immediate confidence builder. We never failed to complete what ever task assigned with flying colors. I was in the Air Force as Security Police prior to the sheriff's office, in the military you must be proficient with firearms, especially with my squadron working around nuclear weapons, and our rules for engagement were signs stating Use Of Deadly Force Is Authorized!!! I thankfully never had to shoot anyone nor would I like to. This video is amazing in the frank discussion of a police job most never hear about or see. It is communication like this that may keep an officer from going home and taking his stress out on them even though he loves them. It IS okay to question, to fear the unknown, and to be wrong! Jesus paid for the wrong thankfully!!!

In Phoenix, the SWAT team is called SAU, the Special Assignments Unit.
@harrywillman8456 Жыл бұрын
@@CombativeResolutions the phrase “The Unit” has a very specific meaning to tactical operators, and it’s not PPD SWAT lol. If they call it that internally, they should stop.

It’s not that serious dude. They know they aren’t cag. It’s just a name.
@wmunny2152 Жыл бұрын
You can laugh all you want but Devgru and CAG aren't likely going to show up to a hostage rescue or active shooter situation in your city or state. Trust me, you want someone like Mike showing up and taking care of business! He is extremely humble and extremely capable. The names he mentioned in the beginning, on the that team alone had over a combined 100 years of experience. They were extremely squared away and deployed on all the major high profile incidences, including a SUCCESSFUL explosive breach/gun port on a hostage rescue, where they eliminated the hostage taker and saved the hostage.
