Louisville was a town that I had no idea of how nice it is, and how the natives are a friendly bunch worth knowing. As always, thanks for sharing your adventures and giving us ideas for our own.

So glad to see that you made it to my hometown. We love to show off all of the Louisville activities, and there is so much to see all around our area. We like to trek to Paducah and Metropolis too. If you’ve not seen it, there is a historic house, Locust Grove, near Brownsboro Road that was also owned by members of the Clark family.

Ah-I loved how you started the video talking about how beautiful the Bluegrass area of Kentucky is. I agree with you, it is one of the most scenic and beautiful areas of the whole country. They really ought to make it a National Preserve.

I lived in Louisville for a few years, I love it, it's a lovely place to live. I was fortunate to be able to experience the "Thunder Over Louisville" and also the "Pegasus Parade" it was fun seeing some of my old stomping grounds downtown, I worked off Fourth Street in the "Starks Building" as an Administrative Assistant. I miss it, I would love to go back and visit some day. Thanks for sharing this.

Robert - I got a suggestion for your truck, etc. keys for your steering wheel column: Put a large square thick felt just below the key ignition area and the "knocking" keys on the column area. I did that some 10 - 15 years ago on my 2004 Subaru Forester (which I still have). I had an aunt & uncle who lived in Louisville for many decades...they even lived through the " Great Ohio Flow" of the 1930's. I love Kentucky. One of my favorites is Pleasant Hill (Shakertown) . The campus of Asbury Theology College in Wilmore, Kentucky is a very pretty place too. My wife and I were in the western part of Kentucky last year (late September of 2021) very neat. We enjoy the shows, always. Stay well and safe travels, Robert !

You went to so many places I've been in this video! We frequented Big Bone Lick when we lived in NKY for about a decade. We're down in Elizabethtown now, so Louisville is where we go for anything "city" related. My son also plays football in Bardstown, so we are there all the time. It's super to see things we haven't yet, and through your eyes! I was also floored by your Who Is John Galt reference. That was a paradigm-shift book for me.

Love your Louis and Clark experience! It was a great surprise when I found it on your channel. Robert, I bet if you ask your cousin Juan he might have visited Madison Indiana for a festival at some time? I have lived in Madison for the last 20 yrs, and we have the stunning Clifty Falls with a campground that I think you would like, as well as one right downtown on the Ohio River, just across the bridge from Milton, KY. Come see us sometime! We had vintage mini campers earlier this summer and I hear they had a great time.

Hey Robert, enjoyed the visit to Louisville. I've driven through the area several times but never had time to stop and explore (you know how that is, don't you?) Now I have to get back there if only to see the giant Louisville Slugger! Enjoy your hiatus -- looking forward to seeing the journey continue in a couple of weeks. Happy trails! p.s. the smoky sky in the background of your promo reminds me of the awful air quality I experienced in that area a couple of years ago. What a drag it is being in "Big Sky" country with such poor visibility!

Falls of Ohio fossil bed 95% covered during high water as on your visit. Normally fall is good time but higher than average water this year. Kentucky Bluegrass region became horse raising region due to high calcium content in soil, more durable horses. Big deal in days before Amazon delivered horse vitamins
