Very happy to finally being able to share our newest device! I personally think that especially for newer streamers, that are thinking about getting their first streaming controller, this crowdfunding campaign is a fantastic opportunity to get a high quality device for a very low price! 😊

No hating but all missing knobs need to come baaaaaaaack! They help so much with multiple audio controlling through separate dials….this is coming from a Live-streamer here on KZbin.

@@ActivateLA You still have access to dial pages. So you are not limited to only 2 dials. For most streamers the amount of dials we have on the Loupedeck Live (6) are not necessary. And if you are looking for more dials the Loupedeck Live would probably the better fit for you. But we'll take the feedback into account for the future, so thanks a lot for your comment!

I’m currently upgrading my home studio and will be producing a couple of weekly livestream shows. I use a RodeCaster Pro for my audio & a combination of a Stream deck XL & Atem mini for everything else. Much respect to you and your evocative products. Cheers from Western Australia

An interesting set of changes over the original Live - expand the button area to 5 by 3 (same as a Stream Deck), delete the row of hard buttons, delete the dial displays and four of the dials in favour of four hard buttons. Personally, I think the original Live is a better product; if dials are unimportant to you, you might as well buy a Stream Deck. I am happily in both camps: I have a Loupedeck CT and a Stream Deck XL. Both serve different purposes and I am pleased to have both. If I bought a second Loupedeck for portable use, it would be the original Live because the dials are important to me. The only place I can see for the Live S is as a cheaper alternative to the original Live.

@@Loupedeck I am pleased with the CT, though am having some issues with the latest software and also the MIDI implementation. When I get the time, I'll document these issues for your consideration. The CT is a great product and the software gets better with every version. I really appreciate what you are doing and wish you well with Live S as you aim to serve the budget end of the market. My only concern is that it will take rather more work to create Live S profiles from a CT or Live profile (or vice versa) due to the different number and arrangement of buttons. I hope the original Live remains in the line-up, as I may well pick one up if I start to do more travelling.

Could this be used to aid monitoring of security cameras if you have a portfolio of property. Nice if it would draw on 'motion detection' for those cameras. I get false 'motion detection' signals from moving trees, pets romaning and plastic bags blowing around, so an easy means of screen capture at critical movements coming from my devices would be useful. Though rather than go through a lot of cameras, nice if motion is brought to the fore.

I'm curious, would we be able to use the knobs to control a zoom in on a source in obs? Say my camera for instance would I be able to zoom in for dramatic effect? Not actually controlling the camera itself, but zooming in on what we're seeing on screen?
@Loupedeck2 жыл бұрын
Hi, unfortunately this is not possible at the moment. There is no API- or shortcut-based action that could be assigned to a dial to control the digital zoom. However, you could for example use individual buttons to switch sources with different zoom levels.

Can you guys make it easy to actually have useful streamer functions out the box? I love the product (I have the CT) and it says in marketing that gaming is supported but neither StreamLabs Nor OBS have EVER worked on mines and I followed your FAQ section where you say it’s supported but it’s really not, your current software desperately needs updates that make it actually useful for streaming. For Pro Tools, Davinci, After Effects it works amazing I just it would actually made it unnecessary to buy a stream deck despite have a Loupedeck CT I may still have to buy one because of how user friendly and easy to set up is for any streaming app

in general I might be OK but still functions are missing that competitive products have since a long time, like custom dual state icon's that a lot people waiting for, so yes, no worries for the hardware only for the software. some time last year someone from the loupedeck team wrote to me and I Quote: "It is currently not possible to have two states of an custom icon, but I agree it would be a great addition to our software. I have shared your message with our Product team so we can check this option for our future software releases. Many regards from Loupedeck team and have a wonderful day." 2 new Versions of the Software since then, but no changes in that direction. Don't get me wrong, this is not a "hate" post, I realy like my loupedecks (hardwareside) but if someone designes a product for Streamers, this kind of feedback should be heeded

@Khaldor2 жыл бұрын
If you already own a CT this might not be the device for you. But especially for streamers that don't own a streaming controller yet this is a fairly attractive device, especially from a price point of view. A lot of the feedback that we received in the past highlighted that for streamers our premium products (as for example the CT) are simply too expensive while offering a lot of features that are not needed for the average streamer. So the Loupedeck Live S fills this gap in our product line and is an entry level device compared to the CT.
@neil13752 жыл бұрын
@@ActivateLA Agreed.
@neil13752 жыл бұрын
@@Khaldor I reckon they would have been better off promoting their CT and maybe even bringing its price down to attract more people to it. I really don't see the need for this lesser capable mid way device. They really need to do better market research to focus their new product development strategy. For instance I have a CT and use ir with a number of software applications. Their Photoshop Plugin still has issues with it not functioning properly with a few dial operated functions and this is still the case a year after I raised tickets with them?!?! Imagine how many more customers they could gain whilst also improving their product offering along the way if they focussed on doing this as opposed to bringing another unnecessary product variation to market???

Don't think you need a new product. I would rather back a Kickstarter that brings more support and plugins on OSX. There are so many things that Loupdeck falls short on compared to Streamdeck why not focus on those features instead of releasing a slightly different piece of hardware. I already have a live and don't see the point of an S.. Software needs to be pushed hard and fast.
