Baby otters were born!

Otter Otsuyu is a 4-year-old girl. She has given birth twice so far and is a mother of three children. Her children's names are Wasabi, Namida, and Tororo. Her husband is Oage. Since Oage does not seem to be good with children and does not raise children, Otsuyu has been raising her children together with her twin sisters, Odashi. This time, too, Otsuyu looked forward to the birth under the watchful eye of Odashi.

Otsuyu, you are a multitasking wonder! You successfully delivered 5 otter pups caring for them all while in labor! And Odashi is the best sister. She cares so much about Otsuyu's health during delivery.

Maybe Loutre will be able to set up a room so that Oage is in the next room over and can watch everything that is going on so that he realizes that those are his children etc. I would hope something like that could be done for Oage and all of the otter family. It ma help him take on a more masculine adult fatherly role too, and help him and Odashi get a long maybe... that might be hoping for too much I guess. Though, it might work... they are smart creatures. Frankly, if I were Odashi, I would be greatful for not having to go through that process of child bearing and being able to be such a close part of all their lives by being a surrogate mother as she has been.

I hope we can see a film on Bob and Namida as well. Just them together. A different film on Wasabi... and, maybe another on Komugi and what he is up to these days. Smiles. I was imagining this group of pups going out in a few months to the river together learning all about the wonders of the outdoors with Odashi and Tororo to teach them. Maybe even teach Otsuyu too as she likely might be up for something new outdoors by now? If she was no longer afraid or in discomfort about outside, that could be really fun to have her along to watch the young ones grow up with new fun surroundings.

Yah, Oaga has been really keeping Otsuyu comfortable and un-anxious. Way to go husband Oaga and Momma Otsuyu. And, of course all the planning the Loutre must be doing to make all this even possible. Getting the right mates for each otter has got to be a difficult job.
